When the taxi stops we are at your average apartment complex, in the middle of the city. Mary hops out of the cab and gestures for me to do the same. My heels make a clicking noise as they hit the pavement, I follow Mary to the back of the cab and grab my suitcase. I lug the heavy purple thing along the sidewalk, then after Mary into a shiny black skyscraper. The door spins which amazes me.

We walk over to the front desk where a young man with blond hair and brown eyes sits. "Hi, I'm Skyler Hawkins. I'm moving here today, do you have the key to my apartment for me?" I ask trying to be as polite as possible. "Yes Skyler I do have the key to your apartment. It's room 18c on floor 9. Your welcome to free parking in the parking garage next door, and if you want to know more about the apartment you could always have coffee with me at five thirty tomorrow morning. Oh and my name is Max." says Max as he hands me the key to my apartment. I can't help but be stunned, he actually asked me to have coffee with him. I blush and reply, "I think I will have the coffee, and thanks for the key."

Mary looks at me impatiently, and drags me towards the stairs, there is an elevator but in an effort to stay in shape I will be using the stairs. I lift the suitcase over my head and start climbing. I do that easily not even out of breath as I reach the ninth landing. I put my suitcase down pretending I had dragged it up the stairs like a normal person would, I create a small but intense heat wave to make me sweat slightly, and it makes my face flush.

I walk out into the hallway feigning breathing heavy. I roll my suitcase down the hall searching for room 18c. It just happens to be all the way at the end of the hallway go figure. I stick the key in your average apartment door, and walk into a one bedroom, one bathroom apartment. The sight of a living room that had beige walls a gray carpet, accompanied by a green couch and a small oak coffee table. The kitchen is practically in the living room, except It was painted green had tile instead of carpet, and had a fridge, stove/oven, and a microwave. I head over to one of two doors besides the one I walked in from.

Behind it is my new bedroom. It is a blue color like the sky, the bed is twin sized and has the cutest quilt for a bed spread, there is a shaggy carpet, and a beautiful oak nightstand with a nice lamp on it. I put my suitcase down and go lie down on the bed. Today has been the single most stressful day of my life! Never have I gotten lost, or even messed up before. I have never been so out of control, I have always Known exactly what to expect, and prepared for it and devoted my time to reaching my goals. I'm pretty much winging it as of now. All I know is that I'm going to my job tomorrow, and I'm going to report to the legion. That is what needs to happen, oh and I almost forgot, I'm having coffee with Max in the morning, Great!

I can't think about any of that right now, I kick off my heels and just focus on breathing. Everything will be okay, the legion gave me a bank account to start out with and my salary will go there each week. Maybe I will like my job, I might have fun at coffee with Max, heck, I might even like coffee. I wonder what coffee looks and tastes like, I have only ever had water to drink. I wonder what a new diet will do to my health and fitness.

I hear someone knocking at my door, inconveniently interrupting my relaxation. I get up and head towards the door wondering what idiot had disturbed me. Instead of someone at my door it is a something. It is an envelope with no return address, I assume it's from the legion, though I don't understand why they didn't just have Mary tell me whatever they had to tell me. I rip open the envelope, It says two words no more and no less, but I know exactly what they mean. They are Kill Mr.Ward.

I stare at the two words stunned. He was so nice to me, what could have possibly done to make the legion demand that I take his life? Is it simply that his job is a powerful position and the legion decided he wasn't doing a good enough job? Well whatever the reason i was going to do it. Good soldiers follow orders, and I have always been a good soldier. I have never intentionally not followed a direct order before and I'm not going to start now no matter how nice he is, or was. The question now is how am I going to do it?
