|Ch2: One Hell Of A Bus Ride|

Today is the big day. Today is the day that Raine starts her senior year at Crystal High. She woke up feeling nervous but put the feeling behind her because she knew she was going to have a good day.

After she took her shower and lotioned up with Cocoa Butter lotion, she threw on a pair of black ripped jeans, a fresh pair of white hightop Nike Air force 1s, and her favorite spongebob shirt.

Now that she was all dressed and ready to go, she headed downstairs where her bookbag was already located by the door.

The school bus was going to be picking her up and dropping her off everyday since Lauren had work from 7a.m to 5p.m. She worked as a nurse and sometimes she likes to take on extra hours. She was already gone.

Once she saw the yellow bus pull up she locked her front door and made her way onto the bus. As soon as she stepped foot on it, all eyes were on her.

She scan the bus for an empty seat once she finally found one in the back. She hurried and took her seat so the bus driver could drive off to get the next student.

"You must be new here?" A girl who was sitting in the seat across from her asked. Raine turned her direction away from the window to look at her.

The girl was pretty with her blemish free mocha brown skin. She wore her hair in Faux Locks dyed the color purple. For here outfit she wore a simple baby blue sundress and black sandals.

"Yeah. I just moved here a few days ago" Raine told her with a smile.

"Well hello, my name is Bianca and I am a Senior at Crystal High. Nice to meet you..."

"Raine"

"Raine" Bianca repeated "Where did you move from?"

"L.A, my mom wanted me to move in with her since this is my final year of highschool before I go off to college" Raine explained not wanted to go into too much detail about her parents

Bianca examine her face before speaking again. She looked at if she was trying to look into her soul ir something. Raine shifted in her seat feeling a bit uncomfortable with Bianca's staring.

Why is this girl staring so hard.

"Say, you look awfully familiar" Bianca finally spoke.

"Um who do-" before Raine could even finish her sentence Bianca spoke up again

"You look like the nurse that works at my dad's hospital. Is your mom a nurse?"

Raine mentally sighed in relief, thanking God that she didn't know who her mother is...well use to be. Even though Lauren and Richard got a divorce people would still come up to Raine and ask if her parents were Mr and Mrs Walker. Even though the divorce was all over social media, still many people didn't know about the divorce.

"Yes. Yes she is, you're talking about nurse Gilbert right?" Raine asked referring to her mothers maiden name. Bianca nodded before smiling again.

"Me and you are gonna be sisters pretty soon!" She gawked pratically bouncing in her seat.

Sisters? Raine thought. What the hell is she talking about being sisters soon, they just met like five minutes ago.

But what Raine didn't know was that her mother had been seeing one of the doctors at the hospital. Which happened to be Bianca's father.

"Excuse me?"

"My dad and your mom have been dating for like a year now. They plan on getting married sometime next year"

This was all new to Raine. Lauren never mentioned anything about her dating anybody, Raine thought they were supposed to te eachother everything. Apparently she was wrong. Raine made a mental note to ask Lauren about this as soon as she got home from work.

"She must haven't told you?" Bianca inquired noticing the look on her face.

"Nope not at all." Raine said sounding a bit sad, it's not that she didn't want her mom to get married again. It's just that she didn't even tell her about him, its like she kept a huge secret from her. Raine also made a mental not to tell her father later, to see how he would feel about this.

"Don't be sad. You're going to love my father, he's very nice." Bianca assured her gleefully.

"I hope so"

The rest of the bus ride was silent between the two. Raine didn't really want to talk about it anymore at least, not until she talked to her mother about the situation.

Once they finally pulled up to the school, Raine got those butterflies in her stomach again.

I hope this day goes well.
