Chapter 5 - You Mad Bro?

Anthony's Point of View

I woke up with Katie laying next to me. I saw the wheel chair that the nurse had brought in yesterday when I woke up and got up carefully trying not to wake up Katie, after all, I think she was up all night watching over me in case anything happened. She deserved some sleep. I finally managed to get out of the warm bed and into the wheel chair. So far, Katie had not woken up, but then a doctor walked in.
'Anthony, you should be able to go home very soon. If you are fine all day tomorrow then you have a high chance of going home tomorrow.' He said. Unfortunately, he had a very loud voice and woke Katie up. She'll just have to come with me to see Ian.  Finally the doctor went to check on a different patient.

Katie's Point of View

'God I hate that doctor. He woke me up from my sleep. And everyone knows how much I like my sleep!' Katie said. I laughed and she wheeled me down to reception.
'Excuse me.' I said.
A lady with long brown hair looked up at me wearing black nerd-like glasses. For some reason I recognized her. 
'Yes?' She said. Then I remembered. She was the receptionist from yesterday.
'Do you know where my brother Ian Hecox is?' I lied to her again.
'Whaa-' Anthony began saying before I kicked underneath his seat of the wheelchair.
'Ow' Anthony said quietly enough so only I could hear.
'Down in the critical care unit. Family members only. What is he to you?' She asked pointing at Anthony.
'I'm her brother' He said still confused. We walked off and tried following the signs but they were confusing. It took us ages before reaching the desk at the ward. We asked the man there where he was and I was lead to his private room as Anthony stayed to fill out some medical stuff as I didn't really know him as well as Anthony although I did know that Ian apparently suffers from a small case of ADHD and is also asthmatic. Kalel once said that Ian told her he is actually allergic to cats. Although when he stroked Pip he was fine. Fortunately he wasn't on life support unlike Anthony was,but he was on a drip like many other patients. I sat down on his bed and spoke to him.
'Ian.' I started off saying. It seemed like a good place to. 'You probably can't hear me right now but Im gonna talk to you anyway. I miss you. I want to see your smile and your chrystal blue eyes open again. To hear you laugh. To hear you speak. I just want to know your ok. Please wake up. I love you Ian.'
I got up to go see where Anthony was but there was no need. Anthony was sitting in the room by the door and he had heard the speech judging by the look on his face.
'I-I need the toilet' I stutter and quickly barged past him.

I walked into the toilets and sat on the seat of the toilet, just gathering my thoughts. I didn't actually need the toilet. I just needed an excuse to get away from Anthony. What if he hates me. His own sister loving his best friend. I needed to know how much he had heard. I slow walked back into Ians room and there was Anthony sitting next to Ian's, his head in his hands staring down at the floor. I opened the door and sat down. After a few minutes, I couldn't contain myself. I just needed to know.
'How much of me talking did you hear?' I asked Anthony.
'Most of it.' He said. Oh Shit!
'By most do you mean a quarter, half of it, two thirds. Explain.' I worryingly said.
'The "Ian, You probably can't hear me right now" bit' Anthony told me. Great. Just firetrucking great.
'Do you hate me?' I asked cautiously.
'At first, yes. But then I thought to myself, if Ian makes you happy, them be with him. I would prefere you to date someone I'm friends with than some player and then having to watch you get your heart broken.' Aw Anthony is so sweet. Sure we have our sibling fights but we stick up for each other. We are like best friends. I got up and hugged Anthony. Then I laid down next to Ian and fell asleep, after all, I love my sleep, almost as much as I love Ian.
