"Get Opal's coat on Harry." mom said as she knocked on my door.
"Alright mom. We will be down in a minute."
"Okay!" she yelled from down the hallway.
"Okay. Come on O. Time to go out to lunch with grandma and uncle Louis." I said getting Opal out of her crib.
Opal just laid like a bump on a log when I was putting her jacket on to her.
"You are just so quiet aren't you?" I asked picking her up and looking at her.
Nothing. Just blinking.
"Well I guess that answers that question."
I then walked outside of my room and knocked on Gemma's door letting Louis know that it was time to go.
After that I made it downstairs and saw my mom had already gone to the car so I went outside and buckled Opal into her car seat.
I then got into the back seat and buckled up as well.
Not to long after that Louis came out with a camera and then got into the front seat.
"Why did you bring that camera?" I then asked Louis after my mom started driving.
"I thought that we could take pictures?"
"Oh, alright." I nodded.
"So where are we going for lunch?" Louis then asked.
"I think I am feeling like having steak."
"Oh, Outback?" I thought.
"Sounds good to me." my mom nodded.
Not to long in the car we finally arrived at Outback.
I got O out of her seat and carried her inside as I followed my mom and Louis inside the restaurant.
The people at the front seated us in no time and we then sat down as well as ordered our drinks.
Not to long after they brought them to us and we quickly ordered.
"So how was your first week of staying at our home?" my mom suddenly asked Louis.
"Oh?" Louis said and smiled big. "I've really enjoyed my stay so far Anne. It's been great."
"Are you sure Opal and Harry haven't annoyed you too much?"
"Oh no." Louis said shaking his head. "Not even close yet."
I smiled at that and then looked down at Opal who was laying in her little carrier not really giving a fuck what was going on.
"So Harry, have you been doing your homework like you are suppose to be doing?" mom then asked me.
I looked up from my daughter to my mother and smiled small.
"No." I answered lowly.
"Harry Edward Sty-" she started but I interrupted.
"-mom I'm busy looking after O."
"Louis can always do that."
"I don't want to put that onto him."
"Oh I don't mind." Louis said jumping in. "I love that little kitty." he then said making a face to O and she smiled back at him.
I swear I can't ever get her to smile.
"Are you sure you wouldn't mind looking after her for a few hours while I do homework?"
"No." Louis said shaking his head. "I wouldn't mind."
"Look at that." mom smiled. "Thank you Louis."
"Oh no problem Anne." he smiled and then looked behind me. "Oh Harry there's a clown station. We should go over there and get Opal a balloon!"
I turned behind me and saw it.
"Should we?" I then turned back and asked my mom.
"Sure." she nodded. "Go ahead."
Louis and I then got out of the booth and I took O out of her carrier.
We then walked over to the line and stood in it.
"So what are we going to get this little kitten?" Louis then asked me.
"Well what's girly?"
"Uh- a flower?"
"Alright." I nodded not arguing.
"Can I take a picture of you two?"
"Why?"
"You and O look so cute right now."
"Fine." I huffed. "You just love taking photos of us." I laughed.
"I know." he said and pulled out the camera.
He then snapped the picture and pulled a pen out from his back pocket.
"All prepared."
He rolled his eyes as he wrote and then he showed the picture to me.
I looked at it and smiled.
Opal and I make a pretty good looking team. But then I thought of something as I was looking.
"You know what?" I then asked.
"What?"
"I need to get a picture with just you and O."
"Not right now." he said pushing me away as I tried giving him Opal.
"Why not now?"
"I just don't want to." he said shaking his head.
"Well later you and I need to take a picture together as well."
"Oh we do." he nodded right as we got to the front of the line.
"Oh!" the clown said. "What would this young little lady like?" he then asked pointing to my daughter.
"She would like a flower please."
"What colors?"
"Um blue and green?" Louis answered.
"Sure thing boys." the clown nodded and then got to work.
I smiled at Louis and then down at Opal.
A few minutes later he was done and then Opal had a brand new toy balloon flower.
Louis, Opal, and I sat back at the table and the food ended up coming not to long afterwards.
We had some really good dinner conversations and Opal was acting like an angel.
I've got to say this has been a really good lunch time with the family for me.
