 "Beep. Beep. Beep."

"Ugh..." I groan while rubbing my eyes. I take a moment or two and stretch,  hurting my lower stomach. Damn it, I forgot about the stitches... I sigh as I stand up from the window sill, thinking about the night prior. "Cry? You awake?" I whisper quietly. "Bee-" my alarm continues, until I hit the head of it.

"Nrghh," I hear from the other side of the room coming from Cry. "Wake up, school starts in..," I pause, looking at the clock, "'Bout thirty minutes!" I freak out, I guess we overslept. I toss Cry his clothes that he left at my house once before and I scatter into the bathroom.

I slip on a red hoodie, ripped jeggings and my black leather army boots. I also add a little mascara and blood red lipstick. I unlock the bathroom door to see that Cry had changed into his green hoodie and dark blue jeans. "Well, we match a bit..," I chuckle with a smirk.

"Got your bookbag?" I ask, looking around my room. "No, I left it at school just like normal," he replied. I grab my reddish-brown bag and unlock my door, walking out it with Cry.

"Oh, Cry! When did you get in?" I hear my mother ask, with a hint of fear in her voice. "Oh, he came in an hour ago!" I lie, somehow I always have gotten away with lying about stuff like that. I never get caught, it's actually quite weird. Like I have a gift!

"Anyways, mom, we're heading to the bus. See ya!" I wave bye as I grab my flute case next to the door. "Shit," I mumble as I watch the bus pull up down the road, "run!" We dart down the street to next bus stop, just in time before the bus pulls up. We ignore the weird looks we get.

"So, Y/n, how did your test go? Y'know, the chair arrangement?" Adam asks me, trying to be fragile, in case I didn't make the first chair. "I...," I start sadly, "I got the first chair!" I yell happily. I get applauded by the two boys next to me.

"Ada-am!" I hear a whiny girl voice, oh look, it's Anna, ugh. "Hey, sweetie!" Adam chirps, adjusting his glasses. "Anyways, what's the plan for after--" Cry stops.

The emergency bell rings as the announcements come on, "Students, this is Mrs.Jackson speaking, please get to the gym as fast as you can! What are you doing? Get away fro---AH!" it cuts out.

"What the hell?" I yell, but before I knew it, Cry had a grip on my wrist and dragged me to the gym with Adam and Anna tagging close behind. "AH! Someone, help me!" I hear a scream for help, but it was for something weird. The boy was being bitten by... other kids... other kids who were decaying and rotting.

My eyes widen with fear and I begin to hear crying, I see that it's coming from Anna but Adam pulls her closer to him, protecting her. I begin to understand what's happening. This reminds me of that one show, uh, The Walking Dead! People were infected and started feasting on living creatures, us humans, and it continued never stopping.

"Adam! Did you drive your car today?!" I ask panicking. "Yes! It's over...right there! Why?" he answers. I stop at a halt, running towards it. "Look around us, people are biting each other, reminds you of anything? Just unlock your car and drive away from here before it gets bad!" I yell at the poor boy.

I hear the car click and I practically shove Cry into the car, getting in after him. Even though I don't like Anna, I helped her get in the passenger's seat. "Drive!" Cry yells, rushing Adam.

We passed by so many people that needed help and so many of those... things. We soon come by military tanks and jeeps. "Let's ask them for help," Adam suggest. Even though I don't think I need them anymore, I grab my reddish-brown bookbag that contains my flute and doodling journals. Along with my agenda, that helps me know what day is what.

I hop out of Adam car and we run down the street then left, towards a military jeep. "H-ello?" I speak out towards the woman, getting her attention. "Can you help us?" Cry finishes my sentence. he ushered us into her jeep-thing and drove towards this wall. What? Why is there a wall? I mumble thoughts to myself.

"Your stops here," she said monotonously. Her voice was so plain, it was depressing. As we stepped out with our bags, a gate opened, allowing us to proceed inside the walls.

I saw the look on Crys face, something was up. "You okay?" I whisper-ask, concern in my voice. "Yeah, but, I wonder. why did they already have a wall... prepared?" his question made me pause with my train of thoughts. He is right, why?

"Hello, this is where you will be staying until this mess is sorted up. We request that you chose one of three activities. Military training, house chores, or entertainment," the man greeted us, but not for long since he asked us a question.

"Military training!" Adam, Cry, and I answer at the same time, leaving Anna to decide. "Uhm. House chores?" Adam makes a frowning face, but he knew that would be her answer anyways.

"Alright, follow me to your living quarters," he says. From what it looks like he is bald, I can quite tell because of his hat, he is a pasty white and he looks really buff. He leads us to this tall peace house, two stories tall. Apparently, we're all living together.

Well, this is kinda normal for Cry and I. He has stayed over at my house so many times it's just like he belongs there. But to live with Adam and Anna? This is going to be hectic...

A/n-Yay, Chapter Two and the drama has begun! Also, I'm thinking about changing Anna's name to something else.
