Decision

I walked into the large room, each step feeling heavy as I continued on. I took a deep breath and swallowed, waiting for him to speak. He was staring right into my (e/c) eyes. Without saying anything, he simply nodded at me and I sat down.

Oh shit, this is serious...

After I sat in the chair I was so familiar with, he spoke up. "Y/n I'm going to be very abrupt with you, do you understand?"

I nod.

"Good. Now you've been working for me for almost a year now. Training, researching, and other tasks. We both have finished high school so let me make myself clear." He looked me dead in the eyes. "I'm moving you to field. You've advanced tremendously in your training and even though your desk work is more than satisfactory, we're running thin on soldiers in the field. This is all your choice. I won't be mad if you say no and I completely understand if you do. Just say the words and it'll be done."

Truth be told I had this thought milling about in my mind for a while now...
