epilogue

"Dad, leave me alone I'm 16 i can do what I want and even date who I want you can't stop me." Hearing that broke Michael's heart his little girl wasn't so little anymore and now she didn't need her daddy.

"Don't worry daddy, you will always have me." He looked down to see his 7 year old with a cute smile on her face and that cheered the blonde boy up some.

"Thank you love bug. I love you, why don't you head to bed now okay I'll tell mom to come tuck you in okay?" He said kneeling down to hug the smaller girl she nodded latching onto her daddy. He put her in her room kissed her head then went to find his wife.

"Hi kitten." He said which caused the smaller woman to smile loving that he never lost the nickname

"Hi my love, are you okay you look extremely tired." She frowned at the love of her life as he nodded kissing her head.

"Lila blew up on me just a second ago. She's mad at me once again." The taller man said running his hands over his face sighing 

"What has been going on with her? Ever since she turned 16 and started dating that boy she has had the worst attitude ever." His wife said throwing down the shirt she was folding having enough of her husband being heartbroken everyday.

"I don't know kitten but I'll talk to her so you don't have to stress about it. Jane is up in her room waiting for you and I'm heading up to kiss Gordon goodnight then I'll be back to cuddle ya." He said and she loved knowing that even after 4 kids he was still the same loving man.

"Oh okay, will you check on Landon when you go back up there too and I think he needs a new bottle." She said and he nodded kissing the brunette then headed up to see his beautiful boys.

"Hey buddy, time for bed okay. You can read more tomorrow." He said walking into the 14 year old's room.

"Alright, tell mom that I love her please." The smaller blonde boy said as the man nodded kissing his son goodnight then heading out to see his other son. When he walked into the room he saw the little 1 year old about to climb out of his crib. He laughed at the sight but quickly picked him up holding him tight to his chest

"You really are my son." He said kissing the baby's forehead before whispering.

"Just don't grow up and hate me." He said feeling a tear run down his face.

"Your oldest sister is my pride and joy. Seeing her not wanting me anymore breaks my heart. Promise me you won't do that when you are her age." He said feeding his son and rocking him back to sleep when he heard a small knock on the door.

"Come in but be quiet Landon just fell asleep." He said and was shocked to see that his little girl was right there.

"Uh, hi dad. Is it okay if we talk?" She asked in a hush voice which made the blonde think of his wonderful wife.

"Of course, what's up?" He asked rocking back and forth on the chair as she sat on the floor next to it.

"I uh I heard what you said about me to Landon. I'm really sorry daddy I do need you and at this time more than ever. All my friends are going behind my back and doing things and are using me because they know that you were in that band and I'm failing most of my classes. I barely sleep anymore daddy. I don't know what to do." The brunette said starting to cry and most likely have a panic attack said. Before Michael responded he quickly but carefully but his baby boy back in his crib then lifted his baby girl onto his lap rocking her back and forth trying his best to calm her down.

"Just breathe princess. Everything is going to be okay I'm not going anywhere." He said hugging his daughter with everything he had.

"I'm sorry I've been so rude to you. I've seen all my friends do it to their dads and they would make fun of me because I was 'daddy's little girl' that's not a bad thing is it dad?" She asked and that broke her heart hearing that.

"Of course it isn't princess. If your friends are like that with you maybe you shouldn't be friends with them sweetheart. I really hate saying this but most of your friends are using you and you don't deserve any of that." He said kissing the girls head.

"I don't know where I'd be without you daddy. Thank you for everything you have done for me, Gordon, Jane, Landon and especially mom. I hope someday I can find a boy who looks at me and loves me the way you love her." She said and his heart melted hearing that. He couldn't be prouder of the young women that Lila had turned into.

"One day you will sweetheart but don't worry about it much alright you still got some time. Now why don't you go to bed, you haven't slept in a long time and I know that because I hear you crying every night." He said with a sad smile as she held a frown in hers.

"Okay I will. Thank you daddy. I love you." Hearing that fixed Michael's broken heart as he hugged his precious little girl again and leaving a kiss on her forehead. As he walked out he was stopped by his wife

"Did you guys make up?" She asked wrapping her smaller stature around the taller boy.

"Yeah I'm happy that we did I couldn't go another day without her talking to me. We really raised a beautiful young lady." He said kissing his wife as they walked into their shared bedroom.

"There's actually been something that I've been meaning to tell you." She said walking into the bathroom and handing her husband two pink sticks

"I'm pregnant."
