Schizophrenic Sister

Chapter 1

"Hey Kinli! I'm home." Zac said softly, walking into my room. "Hi Zac." I said, half shutting my laptop. I had 4 pages open - 3 tumblr and my school page. "Whatcha doing?" He asked, and I said "School work. How was set?" I asked, referring to his latest movie - he was doing The Lorax, which I thought was adorable. "It was good! Taylor was there too, so that was fun." He said, referring to Taylor Swift. I smiled and said "Thats nice."

He handed me a glass of water and some pills, and said "Here, mom said to bring this up." I thanked him and he said "I'll take you to gymnastics if you want." I grinned and said "Yah!" And he said "Harry's band is gonna stay here starting today for a few nights, so we have to be careful though, alright?" I nodded and said "When are they coming?" Then we heard the door open and lots of voices, and Zac said "Huh. Now I guess." I giggled and he said "Get ready, we can get you out the back door." And then he left and I heard him greeting them, and I was so jealous.

Sometimes I just want to come out and just talk to them. I want to meet all of these people, be there friends. The only person I've met was Justin's friend Alfredo: I was at a concert about a year ago and I bumped into him backstage, and he gave me a signed picture of Justin. But that's it. I mean, it is my choice that I don't meet them, but sometimes I start to reconsider that choice. I always change my mind back pretty quickly though. My brothers and mom wish I could meet there friends and such, but they agree with my choice - I'm the least social person in the world.

Anyway, I put a simple black and white long sleeve Leo on, and pulled my hair into a scrunchy, before going onto Tumblr to wait for Zac. He came back in and said "Alright, we're going to try the back door, because they're in the family room." I nodded and we went down the stairs and I began to walk across the kitchen toward the backdoor, and I saw that they were in the living room. I quickly ran across, opened the door, and sprinted onto the porch, and looked back at Zac. They had seen him, and he said "Im going out for a few...ok, later!" And he left, and said "Close call!" I shook my head in agreement.

I was actually in a pretty good mood - I probably would have eaten downstairs tonight at dinner. Anyway, Zac took me to gymnastics and 3 hours later I walked home, in through the backdoor.

"Kinli! Someone could have been in here besides me!" Justin said as I walked in, and I cowered back a bit and whispered "Sorry, I forgot." And looked down. He immediately walked toward me and, his voice filled with remorse, said "Sorry, I didn't mean it like that. It's fine, your fine. We're having pasta, Harry's band plus mine and Channing's girlfriends are over for dinner, so be careful, ok?" I nodded and said "Where are they?" And he pointed to the room next to us and said "The dining room, they're already in there and I was supposed to just be grabbing a coke, so I need to go back in. Grab some pasta and bring it upstairs, ok?" I nodded and grabbed a plate as he went into the dinning room, and I put some sauce and about 3 noodles on the plate to make it look like I had eaten. I'm really not hungry. Then I grabbed an apple to actually eat and went upstairs. I have a small addiction to fruit.

Once I was upstairs I finished my lesson in Biology on my Mac, closed that tab, and was about to go on Tumblr when I heard "Why don't you just go downstairs? Go into the dining room and tell them all about yourself! You won't have to hide anymore!" I shook my head and whispered back "I can't and you know that." And a different voice said "Why? Are you afraid? Chicken? Are you ashamed of all of us?" I bit my lip and the voices said "C'mon! Do it!" And I just shook my head and went onto Tumblr for a good hour before another voice said "Kiiiinliiii! They're all about to go to bed, this is the perfect time!" I shut my laptop and forcefully said "No! Shut up!"

A few moments later my door opened and in walked Channing. "Kinli, that was kinda loud, can you talk a bit more quietly?" I shook my head and said "Sorry, they're just...they are so annoying!" He gave me a small smile and asked "What are they saying?" I looked down and said "I don't want to tell you." He frowned and said "What is it Kin?" I looked up and said "They want me to introduce myself to everyone. They're calling me a chicken and stuff." And he wrapped me in a hug and said "Thats nonsense Bell. Your the bravest girl I know." I smiled as a tear slid down my face and I said "It just makes me so mad." He gave me a kiss and said "I know Kin, I know. I'm going to bed, you should too. Night." I said it back and went to bed.

The different voices are the voices that Kinli hears because of her schizophrenia, and the pills were for the schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and PTSD, in case you didn't know.
