I jumped and clutched my chest. I was definitely not expecting that.
I turned around to see who could've possibly made that sound. I didn't even here anybody come in!
Behind me stood a man a little older than me in a black trench coat and a blue scarf. His face was a little weird, with big lips, prominent cheekbones, and blue eyes.
He rolled his eyes at me
"Who's this?" he repeated bitterly.
"Oh, sorry" I whispered "I'm Molly Hooper." I flashed him a smile
"Yes, yes. What are you doing in my flat? One of John's girlfriends, I presume?" he said with disinterest.
His eyes assessed me "Oh, you're no girlfriend, are you?" he smiled knowingly.
"Noo, you two are just friends with benefits... am I correct."
My eyes dropped down to the floor, face heated under his stare.
"I am..." he smiled.
"How did you-" I began
"Oh please," he cut me off "I can read you like a book, your body language told me everything." He sighed.
After a few seconds of extremely awkward silence John spoke.
"So glad your home," he stood up and walked around me to the smart ass.
"This is Sherlock, my new roommate." He smiled.
Everyone just looked at each other and simultaneously spoke out excuses
"Wow, it's really late I should go." I said, looking at my watch.
"You should get going it's getting quite late." Sherlock said annoyed.
"I'm tired, I should go to bed." John awkwardly said.
Again, we all looked at each other.
"Well, nice to meet you Sherlock." I stuck out my hand and smiled. I was only trying to be polite.
He looked at like he wasn't sure what to do, and then just walked away. I dropped my hand to my side and turned around to face him. He was walking toward the kitchen to make himself tea.
"Goodnight, John." I smiled
"Goodnight..." he smiled "and sorry about... all this" he gestured in Sherlocks direction.
"It's fine." I reassured.
I headed towards the door.
"Goodnight." I yelled to both of them, hoping maybe to get an answer out of Sherlock. Of course, none was to be heard.
I walked out of the flat and into the night, heading in the direction of my apartment. I may have not known Sherlock for very long, but he was already the biggest asshole I'd ever met.
