I slipped my sneakers on and grabbed my purse. I looked at my watch.

7:30A.M.

I had to be at work by 8:00, so I had some time to waste. Since I was already dressed in jeans and an old t-shirt, I decided to head out early.

I slipped a pale blue sweatshirt outside to protect me from the chill outside. I grabbed my purse and slammed the door. As soon as I stepped out of my flat, the chill from the wind hit my face, making my cheeks pink.

I strided off in the direction of a Starbucks at the corner of my street.

I opened the door to St.Barts drinking my peppermint mocha. I didn't usually drink coffee, but since I had a few minutes to spare and I couldn't resist a holiday drink, I decided to treat myself.

I took big sips, since it had cooled down from the wind.

I walked with my head down, hoping that no one would talk to me, but of course, I heard my name being called.

"Molly," the woman who sat at the front desk called, we've talked a few times since she wished me a merry Christmas, I learned that her name was Nikki. turned away from her computer to face me as I walked back to her.

"Yes?" I asked quietly.

"I'm sorry, but you have to stay a little later tonight." Nikki frowned at me.

"That's fine." I smiled at her, sighing internally. I did NOT want to stay later than I already had to, not because I hate my job, but it can get a bit depressing.

I turned to head back to the elevator and slammed into someone.

"Oh my god..." a man said. By now my coffee was all over our shirts and on the floor.

"I am SO sorry." I looked up. He was quite attractive. He looked extremely embarrassed.

"Oh my god.." he repeated "are you okay?" He asked, voice filled with concern.

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine..are you...okay?" I was at a loss for words, and at this point I could feel my face redden at his soft gaze.

"Let's get cleaned up." he finally spoke. I nodded my head. He grabbed my wrist, and led me to the ladies room.

"I figured it would smell better." he explained, gesturing to the room around us. I nodded my head again. He pulled a paper towel out of the dispenser, wetted it, and handed it to me.

"Again, I am SO sorry!" He apologized again.

"It's fine." I reassured him. I hope he didn't feel guilty, even though it was a waste of £4.00. On the bright side, I ran into an attractive stranger.

He got himself a paper towel and dabbed at his white dress shirt.

"I'm Jim, by the way." He turned to me, smiling.

I smiled back at him. "I'm Molly."

He opened his mouth and shut it again. "So, Molly.." he hesitated. "Could I possibly.. take you to lunch this afternoon?" he asked me. "To, you know, make up for getting coffee all over you..." He grimaced.

"Um.." I debated saying no, but he was so cute and I was so single. "Yeah, I'd be up for that." I smiled.

"So do you work here?" I asked him.

He nodded.

"Yeah, I work in IT." He grinned at me. "You?" he asked.

"Oh, I work in the morgue." I shrugged. He looked surprised.

"The morgue?" he asked. I nodded. "I didn't think you'd be a 'morgue-y' kind of girl." I shrugged again, not really knowing what to say. After a few moments of silence he spoke again.

"Soo.. meet you in the lobby around 11:50?" he asked. I nodded.

When both our shirts were dried of coffee, we exited the bathroom. Thankfully, no one had come in and made everything even more awkward.

"See you at 11:50!" he called over his shoulder. I waved back at him.

I stepped into the elevator with a stupid grin in my face. I had bumped into an attractive man who was now taking me to lunch in a few hours. How often does that happen?

Lunch was pleasant. Jim took me to a small sub shop two blocks away from the hospital. We talked and ate for 20 minutes and exchanged numbers. I think I like him.

I still have a little school girl crush on Sherlock, but he never dated. I couldn't waste my life on someone I had no chance with, right?

I was sitting on my bed, listening to music on my laptop and brushing my hair. I was interrupted by my phone buzzing. I looked at who was calling, and a grin crept onto my face; it was Jim. Memories from lunch flooded my mind, and how we had hit it off. I picked up the phone.

"Hey, Jim." I said nonchalantly.

"Hey!" he practically sang. I giggled at him.

"Oh, um.. again, thanks for lunch!" I smiled, as if he could see me.

"You are very welcome." he flirted. "Speaking of food, would you maybe want to... um.." he laughed awkwardly. "Maybe you would want to have d-dinner... w-with me?" he nervously asked.

My heart skipped a beat at his proposition. I felt like I was 16 again. Having a phone conversation with a cute boy who was flirting with me like mad.

"Yeah!" I said excitedly. God, a cute stranger who spilled my coffee on me took me to lunch, and now dinner. Hard to believe, right?

"I'll pick you up at 7 tomorrow night!" He said excitedly. He hung up and didn't wait for me to respond.

God, I could not wait.
