Hospital

~Skyler's POV~

Why wasn't she healing? She is a wolf and wolves heal faster than normal. I am already healed, but I can sense that something isn't right. I keep asking her if she is okay and she tells me she is fine. I am her mate, I can tell she is lying. Something is wrong and I am going to help her. I can't take it to see her in pain anymore.

"Okay, you have to tell me what is going on," I said.

"Sky, I'm fine," she said.

"You are not fine, I can sense it," I said.

"No, that's where you are wrong, I am perfectly fine," she said.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yes," she said.

"Fine then...shift," I told her.

"What?" she asked.

"You heard me, If you are really okay...then you will shift without a problem," I said.

"Fine," she said. She walked to the middle of the room and started to shift, but instead of that happening, she fell to the floor with a terrible thud.

"HAILEY!?" I yelled. She wasn't moving, she was just holding her stomach ad more blood was dripping. I ran over to her and picked her up. I ran to the Alpha's office and I didn't even knock.

"Alpha! Something is really wrong! I yelled.

He stood up and asked, "Has something happened?" Worry was written all over his face.

"The sword thing, she hasn't healed and she is in pain," I said again. I heard Hailey groan when I set her in the chair.

"Hailey, can you open your eyes for me?" he asked. I guess I didn't see that her eyes were squeezed shut. She opened them and looked up at the Alpha. Her eyes were different. instead of them being her regular deep blue, they were red. Alpha looked as shocked as I did. He looked as Hailey and said, "Y-your eyes."

"What is happening to me, Alpha?" she choked out. She was still in pain.

"You are not a wolf," he said. I was shocked and so was she.

"What?" we both said at the same time.

"You are a hybrid..." he whispered.

"What's a hybrid?" Hailey asked. I looked over to her and she was still clenching her stomach, but the pain looked like it was gone.

"It is a creature that is half wolf," he started, "Half vampire."

"How is that possible?" I asked.

"You didn't know your parents did you?" he asked and she shook her head. "It all makes sense now. I knew your mother, sweet lady. I never knew her mate though. He must have been a vampire...and when you were born, she gave you to me and they disappeared. I raised you, until you were old enough to understand that your parents disappeared. You are a hybrid," he said.

"Is that special or something?" I asked.

"Yes in deed," Alpha said, "There is only one other in existence, he is 325 years old and doesn't look a day over 18. His name is Alex. I believe he lives in Washington...Forks? Yes, that is where he lives. Hybrids are very dangerous, well if they are evil, because they can't be killed. That is why Alex is that old, people have tried to kill him because they don't like the idea of a half vampire, half wolf breed. They did everything they could, but he couldn't be killed. That is why there is only one, well two now, in existence."

"Woah," I said.

"Wait," Alpha said, "There is more...Alex is your half brother."
