chapter 12

-Reed's POV-

"Hey Reed are you alright?" I heard Celine ask.

Uh why is she talking to me and why would she even care?

"Why do you care?" I snapped at her.

I know that was a little mean but that tweet hit me really hard and Celine's not making me feel better.

"Gosh fine be that way. Yea I don't know why I care. Maybe I don't want to be a jerk like you and actually tried being NICE" she yelled at me.

Am I really that much of a jerk? No it's probably all in her head.

-Celine's POV-

Should I...or should I not..hmm. Ugh I guess I will.

"Hey Reed are you alright?" I asked him.

"Why do you care" he snapped at me.

What's his problem he thinks he is sooo great, but really he's not.

I then got a text from Andrea.

'Hey. deres going to be a New Years party. Wanna go?' it read.

Hmm...to go or not to go...while I was thinking I didn't realize I was already texting her.

'Sure wat time?' it read.

'9 and it ends @ 12. my mom can give u a ride home if ya want. o btw u need to wear a mask. dont ask me y' her text said.

Great I need to go mask shopping...

When I got home I saw my mom sitting in the kitchen.

"Hey mom can you drive me to the mall? I need to buy a mask for a New Years party happening tonight" I explained.

"Oh no need dear I think I have one upstairs. Let me go look." she shouted while running up to her room.

When she came back I saw the most beautiful mask ever.

"I love it!" I exclaimed breathlessly.

My mom then handed it to me and I ran up to my room to look for an outfit to go with it.

I then placed the mask on my face when I heard Andrea's mom's car horn honk.

"Wow you look amazing! Couldn't even tell it was you..." Andrea said.

"Thanks you too!" I replied.

She was wearing the most elegant mask. Along with it she was wearing this outfit that looked stunning.

When we got to the party we stayed together for most of the night. Mainly because I knew like no one here at the party.

Right now they were counting down.

"Hey I'll be right back" I heard Andrea said as she walked away from me.

Wow great...

"10!"

"9!"

"8!"

"7!"

"6!"

"5!"

"4!"

"3!"

"2!"

"1!"

I then got sudden spun ed around to crash into a pair of lips. This was my first kiss...and now it is being stolen by a complete stranger?

The mysterious person then broke the kiss. After I opened my eyes I saw the most beautiful shade of blue eyes. The person was wearing a breath taking mask. Then all of the sudden he turned and ran away.

I wonder who the mystery person could be. All I know is that I am bright red and feeling my stomach turn.

"Hey Celine! Ready to go?" I heard Andrea say form behind me.

"D-did you just see that?" I asked.

"See what?" she questioned.

"N-nothing" I replied.

I guess this shall be a secret.
