The strange

....

The car stopped in front of a small broken down cabin, that was crawling full of wild life.  Merlin smiled, "this is it."

"listen Merlin, if you want to murder us, can't you do it here?" i laughed 

"now that wouldn't be sensible now would it?" He joked.

"since when are you sensible?!" i replied.

i unbuckled Eva, and she clung to me like glue. Merlin lead us into the door of the cabin.

i closed my eyes and winced as i entered, when i opened them i realized that this was not real. the walls were perfectly wall papered, and the floors beutifuly carpeted.

"Eva, will you pinch me really fast?" i whispered 

she pinched me with her razor nails, and a small pain rippled through my arm and ligered a moment then faded away. this was real.

"Merlin..."

he was talking to some girl at a desk, who i swear hadn't been there a moment ago. 

"cass, come here." 

"hello Clarisse." said the woman, with a thick british accent. she tapped her thumb and index finger together rapidly. "my name is Elizabeth. i'm the bearers aprentice."

"hi Elizabeth. would you mind telling me whats going on?"

Elizabeth smiled. "all in good time. first we need to figure out if you belong here. i doubt that you don't, i mean Merlin has never disapointed us, all though if you are his girl friend then, well, his judgement may be a bit clouded, any way, here come's Miranda."

a young girl walked down a long hall, that i was sure wasn't there a second ago. Eva held tighter to me. the girl looked completely normal, except that she was impossibly skinny and thin, had blue skin, blue hair that floated behind her and cloudy white eyes. 

"Miranda!"said Merlin, slapping the girls hand, i saw her lips curl up slightly, i think that meant a smile. "hello, now is this the new recruit?" she said in a fine, atherial voice. "yes." said Merlin "cass, this is Miranda, she's our lead Bearer."

miranda put her hands on my cheeks. "i like this one. she's full of...of...energy. positive energy. she'll be the one to bring the downfall of the beasts of men." i didn't know what that meant but, by the fact that every one got silent, i could geuss it was important. "so.." started merlin, but miranda had gone to puting her hands on Eva's cheeks.

as soon as miranda's hands hit Eva's cheeks, she began to laugh histarically. "whoa." said Merlin "she hasn't laughed in years."

miranda wiped tears from her eyes and started to speak but instead, swooped Eva from my arms and wrapped her into a giant bear hug. "and these two are from the same family?" she asked Merlin, he nodded. "oh, well done Merlin!" she shouted a laugh in her lungs. "there is so much love between you three. it's fantastic!" she turned to Elizabeth

"they stay here. you under stand Elizabeth. and keep Jessica away from him" she nodded.
