*~*~*
Some people have probably realised I changed the heroines name from Cheyenne to Amber. I'm sorry if there are still some Chey's or Cheyenne's floating around, Later this week I'll go through it again to make sure I got them all. Sorry for any confusion
Once again any and all comments are welcome! even if it's just to say my writing sucks and I should stop. I'm not sure how long it'll take to get the next section out, school has been really busy but I'll try to get it up soon.
*~*~*
That day passed by with nothing big happening, it was a pretty quiet walk. Me ecstatic about him saying he needed me and I think he was embarrassed or at least that's what his aura was kind of saying, kind of a lilac-ly color. When we started setting up camp a few raindrops started falling slowly but by the pressure in the air and how quiet the forest was it was going to start pouring, even though the sky was only slightly cloudy.
"Don't bother setting up the fire, it'll be pouring soon." I told Kakashi, apparently he wasn't used to looking for the signs that nature practically screamed at people.
"No it won't this rain is too weak to hold." He said back. Whatever I wasn't going to waste time arguing with him. "Go find a warm dry place for yourself Arupha." I had just barely got the words out and then it started pouring... just like I said it would... "Told you so!" I threw at Kakashi and stuck my tongue out at him, to which he tackled me down and kind of scruffed my hair around. "Ok, ok! I give up!" I announced once he started tickling me. He sat up, chuckling slightly, and then helped me up and tried to make some extra room in the tent, which was a waste since we were already soaked but oh well, it was worth it.
The tent was barely big enough for the both of us but we squeezed in anyways. "Next time listen to me, especially about things nature or weather related!" I grinned at him, he was soaked, absolutely and 100% soaked his hair was down in front of his eyes and he took off the forehead protector but kept his left eye closed I guess it took up chakra even if it was just opened. I couldn't help but laugh at his pitiful look, he was trying to look indignant but with his hair so messed up it wasn't working.
"That was just a lucky guess!" He joked back at me grinning to. Then we both just busted up laughing so hard it hurt but we couldn't stop. When we finally did stop laughing, about twenty minutes later, Kakashi threw a towel over my head and started drying my hair for me, like Becca used to, he was really gentle and once it wasn't soaking he combed his fingers through my hair, getting out most of the nots. I laughed and said it's like he was Becca, the thought made me kind of sad and Kakashi's aura changed from pink to white, and his blank eyed expression came up. I guess I said the wrong thing.
Kakashi started trying to dry his hair but with the still pretty damp towel it wasn't working so I dried out the towel with my chakra, and Kakashi looked at me still with the white, I'd never felt white before I met him so I'll have to figure out what it means fast because it's really bugging me. I considered asking him what he was thinking but since he looked so lost in thought I figured I should leave him alone to another moment of silence. This guy needs way to many, hopefully I'll be able to fix that about him.
When we finally laid down to go to sleep, we had to sleep cuddled up since the tent was so small, the rain was still pouring down and wind kept chilling the tent, in the distance I heard some thunder and felt a slight shift in the air pressure, the storm would be over by morning.
*~*~*
The next day as we sluggishly trudged through the mud, Kakash realized we were only a few hours from Konoha and the thought of his home seemed to cheer him up quite a bit. His face lit up and his aura rapidly changed to a bright blue. It turned out we were about three or four hours away from Konoha, we rushed it though and got there in two and half hours, with every step Kakashi's aura got brighter and brighter.
My first sight of the great stone walls surrounding the city, made me stare in awe and then shiver slightly as I thought of all the people in the village, they would probably hate me right away. As the butterflies in my stomach grew, Kakashi seemed to notice and ruffed up my hair one more time before we entered the village.
At the Entrance to the village in a stand guarding it, sat two ninjas with their feet propped up laughing at something, they both had dark hair pulled back from their faces and tied with a string. One had bright green eyes and he was covered with bruises and had his arm wrapped in an bandage, the other one, with dark brown eyes, looked even worse and their black aura's told me how much pain they were in even though they were acting completely normal.
"Hey Kakashi! What took you so lo-" The one with blue eyes stopped when he saw me and stared at me, I felt his aura shift to a bit of red, which is anger. I couldn't help it, I was five, in a new place, and around people who didn't want me, I grabbed Kakashi's hand and half stepped behind him with my gaze down.
"Hey there, Reggie, sorry I can't talk right now, we have to get to the council." Kakashi said and squeezed my hand a bit. I kept my gaze down and followed him as we walked away with Reggie and the green eyed one staring at me both of their aura's changing to more to red than black.
We were heading towards a tree growing right in the middle of town. Actually tree doesn't really describe it, there was a medium sized hut like thing in the spot where it split, and it was so huge! It's like the monster tree that me and Sangekiko used hang out in. There was a wooden walkway around it and spirling upwards. People were talking and sitting in the branches and reading in it, if I do stay then this would probably be where I'd hang out all the time. Arupha stayed outside the village and set about making the forest near the village his home. All it would take for him to be by my side defending me is one thought but I didn't want to make a scene.
It turned out we weren't heading for that tree but instead a destination close to the giant tree. Apparently you have pass certain criteria in order for me to be "granted permission to make Konoha my permanent residence" or so Kakashi says. Kakashi explained some extra things about the village as we walked through, mainly concentrating on the past and what the first and second hokage had looked for when making this village, all the plans they had for it, and mainly how we were still working on making their dreams come true.
Konoha was a beautiful village, it was surrounded by a high wall with several entrances, and was up against the mountain side, which had four faces carved into it, which were apparently the first four hokages. They didn't do a great job carving them out of the mountain side though, the eyes looked blank with no depth or emotion to them, the only thing you could tell was that they were all really ambitious. They somehow managed to capture that perfectly, maybe it was the set of the eyebrows.
