Touka's Day with the CCG

Touka as usual was barking at the white haired Kaneki to put his black wig back on. 

"Baka! I've told you before to keep your black wig on or else people will get suspicious!!"

Kaneki just looked over at her while adjusting it on his head.

 "Yes I know, but it was getting so itchy."

"I don't care! Now finish wiping off the table, the manager isn't here today and it's just you me and Nishki." Touka barked. Kaneki nodded.

Just then the door to the small coffee shop opened. And three CCG investors walked in. Touka just smiled and waved and said her usual.

"Welcome to Antekiu! Please be seated wherever you like."

She walked behind the counter pulling Nishki and Kaneki with her but making it look like they were doing stuff. 

"They are just normal customers...we don't make a move if they don't." She whispered softly.

The boys understood but didn't say anything. Touka walked out from behind the counter with three menus for the ghoul investigators. 

She placed them on the table and smiled. 

"Hi, can I get you anything to drink?". She smiled. 

"Coffee please. For all of us. With one milk." Answered one of the investigators. 

 She smiled and nodded going back behind the counter.

Her hands were a bit shakey but she steadied them. 

She walked back out and placed the steaming black liquid in front of them. 

"Anythi-...." she got cut off by a growl of her stomach.

She hadn't eaten in a month, which was usually today she ate, and thats why the manager was out. She forced a blush and played innocent. 

 "Excuse me, I'm so very sorry for that officer...I just haven't eaten today..." She said in a surprisingly calm voice. They all nodded and understood.

"Why don't you take a break and eat with us." Said the officer in the far corner. 

"Thank you for the offer but my lunch break is in an hour...I can last." She said with a convincing grin.

Kaneki stood and watched. He couldn't believe how well she was handling the situation.

Once the doves were done with their coffee they smiled and thanked Touka for her service while leaving her a tip.

Once they were out of sight Touka gently picked up the money and sighed.

"If only they only could see things like that...the nice things...," Touka said as she put the money in the register.

Kaneki put his hand on her shoulder and smiled.

 "They will...not today...not tomorrow...not next week...but they will...,"
