Tokyo Ghoul One Shots

Ayato x Human!Reader

At Anteku you sat with a cup of tea reading the newspaper. Of course the TV was also on and you could hear and read the news. Three more people had died last night from Ghoul attacks. It was scary how many people where getting killed or hurt this year. You sipped your tea and sighed looking over at Kaneki who had been your friend for a while. 

"This is just getting scary, because I know it had to be the same person! Ghouls can last a month without eating...so either this one is a binge eater or just is a bloodthirsty murderer." You said putting down your newspaper. 

"Yeah its getting a lot worse..." He said as he gave your your favorite pastry. You had obviously known about everyone working at Anteku and were completely fine with it. They didn't hurt anyone (In front of you at least) so they were okay. 

"The police say they found a shard like hole in the guys chest." Touka in the background had tensed up a bit while doing dishes. Nobody seemed to noticed because she was always tense. "Anyway I better get going. I have a lot of schoolwork to do and not a lot of time to do it." 

You smiled and pages for everything. Grabbing your bag kaneki held the door open for you as you walked out. Deciding to take the short way home you cut across a lot of streets. As you walked by an ally you saw something. A light almost. 

You turned and looked into it seeing a ghoul with her kagune out and munching down on a human. Your eyes widened and your feet picked up as you ran past. Apparently she had heard you because a few seconds later there she was in front of you. You gasped and turned the other way. 

There was nowhere to go. No CCG no nothing. You didn't understand. But to spare you life for a few more seconds you ran into the ally and tripped on the open dead body. She inched closer and closer. Until another flash of light came.

You closed your eyes and covered your face as you heard the two fighting but talking at the same time. After a few minutes your eyes opened and you looked up at a pair of two huge wings?

"T-touka?" you asked a little scared. 

"Pft don't compare me to my weakling of a sister." The person said who you instantly knew was Ayato. He turned around and grabbed your arm. "You hurt?" 

You shook your head and stood up brushing yourself off. 

"Thanks to you im not." You smiled. "How can I repay you." 

"You'll find a way." he said. But the strange thing was that he never saved humans he would usually just pick off of some leftovers. 

"Why did you save me?" you asked. 

"Why does it matter." He said turning away with his hands in his pockets. You smiled and blushed a bit.
