Hinami x Fem!Reader (Young Love)

(This will be taking place a little bit after Hinami was taken into Anteku.) 

You walked down the street happily with your hands in your pockets and your head looking up at the clouds.

Today was a pretty good day.

You had eaten for the first time in a month. You got your mask finished. And you had been strengthening your kagune for a while.

So today was a pretty good day.

But little did you know how much better it was going to get

You walked into the little coffee shop on the corner of the busy street you walked down, and went inside.

You saw a girl about your age, 13 (I know she was 12 but lets just say 13.) And you smiled a bit.

You had seen her before, never got her name, but you had seen her.

She was really pretty and sweet and nice to anyone she would meet.

You smiled and your faced warmed up when you thought about her.

She was talking about something, but you couldn't hear because you had started to daydream in her direction.

After a while of that you saw a hand wave in front of your face. You looked over to see the girl that you had just been daydreaming about sitting right in front of you.

Your face flushed a bit and she giggled.

"Hello? Are you okay? I lost you there." She smiled.

"Uh...yeah." You said looking away.

"My name is Hinami! What's yours?" she asked.

"(Y/n)." You smiled a bit.

She was exactly how you had pictured her in your mind.

Sweet.

Happy.

Loving.

And you were right about her.

"Can I get you anything? My friends work here and you haven't ordered yet." She laughed.

"Oh uh...I don't drink coffee just yet...I just like the smell of it." You smiled a bit.

"Yeah but we have other things besides coffee!" She smiled.

There it was.

When a Ghoul such as yourself either had to hide the fact that you were a ghoul, or share it with the whole café.

You gulped and looked at the menu deciding not to trust her fully just yet.

"I'll probably just get a muffin." You smiled a bit looking at the menu.

"Okay! Would you mind if I got it for you?" She smiled.

"Not at all." And really you didn't mind.

You had gotten your muffin and looked down at it.

You weren't very good at fake eating, so you tried to avoid it as best as possible. The sight of the food made your stomach churn and your face turn pale just imagining it come back up.

But at least it was a muffin, and it was soft.

You took a small bit and fake chewed and then swallowed.

"Is it good?" Hinami asked happily.

"Amazing!" You smiled and took another small bite.

"Wow really?!" Hinami blurted out. You looked up at her.

"Why Are You surprised?" You asked tilting your head.

"I just have never had one." She said sitting across from you.

"Want to try some of mine?"

"No thank you."

"I insist." you smiled not knowing about Hinami's little secret too.

She gulped a bit and took a small bite, doing the horrible fake eating of the muffin just like you.

"You two really just need to learn to fake eat correctly. " Touka had said walking by with a spray bottle to wipe down the table.

Both of you went quiet and looked at each other and then the muffin. And both of you had silently agreed to throwing it away.

After a while of getting to know Hinami you had decided to take a walk together.

It was almost sunset and you both stood on the small over the road bridge and looked down at the cars.

You smiled looking at all the lights and turned to see the brightest of them all. Hinami.

"You know..." You started.

"I do know." Hinami giggled.

"Know...what exactly?" You said a bit nervous.

"That you like me! You look just like Nishiki when he is talking with Kimi." She giggled.

Your face turned a bit pink and you just nodded and sat in silence.

"But I think that I want to wait a little bit until I get older and stronger before I get into a relationship." She said. This was the first adult like thing you had ever heard her say.

"I get it." You smiled. You grabbed her hand and kissed the back of it.

"And when you are ready, I will be here waiting."

She smiled and placed her head on your shoulder.

You smiled back and rested your head on top of hers, looking out into the sea of traffic and lights.
