i had to walk to work today, my car just would not start. it was working perfectly fine yesterday.

it was raining. heavily.

i held the umbrella above my head and walked slowly, not wanting to slip on the pavement.

i walked past a small park and saw someone on the swing.

who would be at the park in this weather? especially without an umbrella?

i looked closer and realised who it was.

it was the girl in the dress.

a gray dress with some kind of pattern on it hung tightly to her body.

her drenched hair clung to her face.

i walked over to her.

"hey, aren't you cold? do you want to borrow my umbrella?" i asked.

she spoke in an almost emotionless voice.

"i don't feel the cold."
