'Sup guys! I am back again!
=======================================
Third Person's POV
It is now the last day of the first term, start of the summer break, and Aira and Karma have just gone back from school.
Aira stops in front of her apartment door, giving a quick glare to Karma. "You can go home now. You are not coming in." She frowns, but he just gives her a smirk, leaning down so his forehead touches hers.
"Huh, why?" He whispers, his warm breath blowing over her cheeks, causing a blush to appear. She quickly pushes him away, stammering, "J-Just go!"
"Am I not getting a goodbye kiss?"
Aira looks at the stubborness inside his mercury eyes and sighs slightly before tiptoeing and puts her lips against his gently, staying there for a few seconds before leaning back, but then she gets pulled back up and he kisses her furiously, trying to get rid of all the negative emotions that suddenly rise inside of him when she pulled away.
Aira gasps slightly, giving him the chance to slip his tongue into her mouth, causing her to go limp, but her arms unconsciously reach up and curl around his neck as they kiss.
By the time he lets her go, she almost feels like she has just died from lack of oxygen, breathing heavily in his arms.
Karma looks at her with a confused look in his eyes. Why does he feel so...lonely and empty when she gave him that kiss? Is that just his imagination, or something else?
After a while, Aira quickly walks out of his embrace, giving him a quick gaze of anger and embarrassment before opening her door, closing it.
He frowns again at the unexpected rush of emotions before shaking his head, walking away. And yet, his hand unconsciously touches his heart that seems to be hurt.
Aira's POV
Closing the door, I sigh and turn around, taking off my shoes.
"So you are finally done kissing that boy?" Hearing a calm and familiar voice from the living room, I stiffen and walk in.
"Grandmother, what are you doing here?" I ask coldly, looking at the woman sitting on the sofa inside my apartment and stirring a cup of tea slowly.
She looks towards me with her sharp, grey-blue eyes, and puts down the cup, standing up. She is supposed to be almost 80 years old, and yet, she looks like she just reached her 50s.
"Aira, it has been a long time since I have last—" she starts, but I cut in, throwing my bag onto the ground. "Stop with the useless greeting. What do you want?"
She doesn't seem upset, gesturing me to sit down opposite of her and sits back down. Looking at her silently, I watch as she takes out a folder from her bag and hands it to me.
Taking the paper out from it, my eyes become even more colder, and my bloodlust starts to appear again as I look at all the information on every single person, and their pictures already make me know they were the people who kidnapped and tortured me.
I push down my bloodlust and puts it onto the table quietly, asking, "What is this for?"
"This is an assassination job. Your father wants you to kill everyone inside this folder." She replies calmly, taking a sip from her tea.
"He doesn't give me any more jobs like this anymore."
"He risked his life to help you take these information. And it is also for revenge on them. They are not innocent after all. And you do know that if you let them live, you precious boyfriend and cousin will be tortured as well, right? You wouldn't want them to get hurt because of you." She explains, and this time, all my bloodlust comes out and I immediately leap towards her.
She barely evades my grip and takes a hold on my wrist, but I immediately twist it quickly, reversing the hold and with my other hand, I take out a pocket knife and puts it to her neck, growling, "You can't say what you want anymore. I will live the way I want."
She just smiles coldly, taking away my hand from her throat. "You really think you can be safe from them? You are an experiment to them. A human machine. They know when you start to regain your memories, and soon, you wil be captured again and this time, both of them, maybe even the whole End Class, will be caught as well and you will be the reason for it. I might not know how to comfort you, but I do know what will happen in the future if you take a wrong step."
I freeze in place, causing her to get away from me easily and sits back down.
One wrong step, and they will go through everything I have gone through?
Is this what happens when I try to lead a normal life?
Is this...all my fault?
Biting my lower lip, I clutch my knife tightly, causing blood to come out when the sharp edge touches my palm, but now, it doesn't matter.
My life or theirs?
Taking in a deep breath, I look down at her, regaining my composure, but my voice still trembles slightly, "If I kill them now, they won't ever come back?"
"It's just a matter of time. Kill them now before they captured them." She answers, taking out the knife from my hand gently and take out a handkerchief, cleaning all the blood.
Inside of me, I know that all she wants is for me to have a normal life because she is also an assassin, and have known everything that I know right now. But she is much luckier than me.
She doesn't have people trying to kill her even after she has stopped being an assassin.
She can be with the one she loves without any trouble.
She can become the one she wants to be.
But I can't.
"I know how you feel. Because you are the strongest in the assassin world, people try to find you and get reward. Your talent for assassination is too perfect, and make people envious. But if you kill these people, they won't try to find you anymore, your revenge will be done, and you can be with him. But for this summer, you can't be with them."
I start to shake with fear and sorrow, knowing that even if I don't want to get blood on my hands again, I still have to.
Wait.
"Grandmother, do you know how to make the selective amnesia poison?" I ask, looking up.
Her eyes widened at my question, losing her composure. "I know, but it can only last about two months, maybe even less."
"Then please, help me prepare 26 of them, and erase all the data of me from Ritsu-san."
End of this chapter, and it is kinda weird because I am writing this chapter while watching Harry Potter inside my friend's house.
