Chapter 4, Crazy friends

     Scalinea sat back down in her seat in the middle row over to the side after she turned in a math worksheet to Ms. Marin. The teacher had just commented Scalinea on her great work surprised with how smart she was since she had been home schooled. Scalinea noticed a small folded up piece of paper sitting on the corner of her desk. She started to open it then the bell rang and all the other students rushed toward and out the door going to lunch. Scalinea stuffed the paper into her skirt pocket, gathered her stuff, and headed out of the classroom.

     After Scalinea put her books into her locker she entered the lunchroom, got some lunch, and sat down next to Zachary. "Hey Zach, how's your day been?" Scalinea asked. "Ehh... Okay, I guess. At least I'm having a better day than you." Zachary said and Scalinea bonked him on the head. "Oww..." Zachary whined rubbing his head. "Well, it's your fault!" Scalinea said angrily. "Anyways, I have actually been having a great day." Scalinea said enthusiastic. "Well, your mood sure does change fast."Zachary whined under his breath. "Har, har." Scalinea replied and got back to eating.

     "Hey guys!" Dasha said leaning over the table as she stole a fry from Scalinea. "Moi food." Scalinea said moving her food closer to herself. "Dasha! I'm gonna kill you!" Luna said charging into the cafeteria obviously after Dasha the small child. "Well, I gotta bolt! Cya later!" Dasha said running off with Luna chasing her. "What was that all about..."  Zachary said stunned. "No clue but I'm gonna figure it out!" Scalinea said and dashed out of the room after the two girls.

     Later after school, Scalinea was taking a walk in the park. "This school sure is a mess." Scalinea laughed as she sat down on a bench and noticed she still had the piece of folded paper in her skirt pocket. She pulled it out and opened it to see that it read:

                                WARNING TO THE NEW GIRL:

                No one is going to like you with how you came

                to Akahanna in the middle of the year, and with

                how you are so pretty and powerful. If you want

                people to like you, give them a great impression

                of yourself.

     Why get a warning like this? It was thoughtful, ya. But why? Scalinea was always very curious about things but just let them be. She folded up the note and put it back into her pocket.

It was about time for Scalinea to go back to her dorm to get out of her uniform if she was gonna' go out into town today. she was hoping to go to a new restaurant she passed the other day. As she stood up and exited the park she saw the male students from her school picking on a girl also from her school with pretty long purple hair. They were all still in their school uniforms also. The three guys had taken the girl's hat off her head revealing her elf ears.
