Chapter 10, A Battle

     "Oh! Do you want to go Carson Legend!" Scalinea said ready for battle.

     "Don't say my full name, you idiot!"

     "Ya, ya... Many people say that."

     Carson drew out his sword and pulled out a handful of potions.

     "So you're good at potions like your dad. This is gonna be fun." Scalinea said with a smirk.

     Carson threw his potions at her then charged Scalinea with his sword tight in hand starting the battle. Scalinea leaped to the side making him run straight into the tree that was behind her. Carson pulled his sword out of the tree and charged Scalinea again and they clashed swords.

     "I've had more of a challenge fighting Brian!" Scalinea laughed.

     "I'm more powerful than he could ever be!"

     "By now Brian would have already stricken me down."

     "I have no words for that. I'm done talking. Now lets fight!"

     "Good with me!" Scalinea said turning into her 'Evil' form.

     Carson stood stunned at Scalinea's sudden transformation. Scalinea threw him back with her trident using the advantage she had gotten.

     "Scalinea! Where are you!" Dasha yelled coming towards the clearing.

     Scalinea stopped in her tracks. A monster was stalking after Dasha.

     "Your little friend got you distracted?" Carson mocked

     Scalinea put a shield around Dasha as she entered the clearing and at that same moment the monster pounced but shriveled up into flames just by the touch of the shield. Scalinea collapsed at the extreme amount of power she had used in the last hour.

     "Scalinea!" Dasha yelled running over to the unconscious girl after the shield disappeared. "What did you do to her!" Dasha glared at Carson who was wide eyed.

     "I swear I did nothing!"

     "You're just saying that to not get blamed!"

     "I swear she just used to much magic!"

     "Stop lying!" Dasha yelled pulling out a remote controller.

     "What's that for?!?"

     Dasha pointed the controller at him and pressed a few buttons making Carson fall to the ground.

     "Ow!!!"

     "That is what you get for hurting Scalinea!"

     "I would never hurt family!"

     "Family?!"

     "Yes, she is my aunt by magic."

     "I have known her since we were little and I have never heard of you."

     "I didn't even know until she told me a few minutes ago."

     "Fine... Just help me take Scalinea back to the dorms. Her brother might know what to do."
