Y/N birthday is on December 13 and Newt wants to do something special for her/him.So he went down the old bookshop right on 5th avenue, close by to Macy's department store. He opened the shop door and the smell of books punched him in his face as he was wandering around the store till he found 3 books that Y/N would love to read.He got Y/N all of the Winnie-the-Pooh books they had because she/he could keep reading Winnie-the-Pooh till she/he died or at least that was what she/he said when they first met.He paid for the 3 books in the collection and wondered how many times Y/N has talked or in her case rambled about books.

He also ran down to the store right by Jacob's bakery on Orchard Street.To get some of the tea she liked. Newt walked into the small cozy store and instantly was comforted by the warmth inside. He got her/him some Black Tea that she/he would drink every day and then got her/him some giggle water fruit tea. But only the non-alcoholic version.Newt had until about 7 o'clock until Y/N came home from her birthday celebration with Queenie and Tina.Tina had promised him that she would get Y/N home safely.

He set out a sheet of pure white parchment for Pickett, his bowtruckle, to paint and decorate for the wrapping paper for all of her presents.

"Now Pickett I want you to paint on this for Y/N because it's her/his birthday!" Pickett's face lit up like a fairy light on the tree.Picket loved Y/N as much as Newt did or maybe even a bit more, well you know what, no one knows who likes Y/N more.

Newt got all his sketches of every magical beast that he had seen and then he very carefully painted all of them with a steady hand.He went to Pickett and gave him some flower dyes to use as paint.

He also made a little bag filled with Creature remedies to help Y/N in a case of a bite from a Murtlap or even Niffler blood.He also made a little guide for anyone to know what to put on it in the case of the fact that Newt wasn't there.Queenie made the bag from fabric that Tina picked out. The fabric was as light as a feather and had some of the light blue + navy blue and pink rigged fabric.It had gold zippers that Newt's Niffler approved of. 

He bought a cream, Hufflepuff sweater.He also bought a sweater that looked like his old blue trench coat that Y/N loved so much although it always drowns her/him in a sea of Newt and wool.  And he got Y/N a small black box that had something else in it. 

By the time Newt was done with gathering all of the presents to see what Pickett had created.Pickett was so happy it looked like a 5-year-old was about to explode with excitement.Pickett put on the last dot made with a cherry blossom root that Newt had to get in order to make a salve to heal a wound caused by  Mooncalf.Newt had never seen Pickett so excited. 

"Awesome job Pickett! I think Y/N will love it as much as I do." Newt told the enthusiastic Bowtruckle. 

Once Newt was done making sure that Y/N would have the best birthday ever he sat down and then made blueberry scones that were Y/N favourite food in the whole world. He checked the time and saw that it was still only 5 o'clock. Newt has known been running around since 10'oclock this morning so he has been running around New York City for 7 hours getting everything ready. Y/N and Newt were going back to London at the end of 1926 and in 1927 they would be back home for a while until Newt's book was done.

Newt wanted to go out and make sure everything was ready for the trip back home but Y/N told him about 5 million times that she wold do it.

When Y/N came back her/his face was lit with joy as she/he unlocked the door to the apartment that for the 2 months they were allowed to share it with Queenie and Tina.Y/N walked inside as Newt hovered over her/him with a brown sharpie.They had started a tradition where on any special occasion since Y/N didn't have any freckles Newt would place each one on her/his face.Mostly because they both were dorks. 

Newt gently placed a lot of freckles on Y/N face in only about five minutes. Newt gave her all of her presents and she opened all of them one at a time.

"Oh my Merlin's Beard this wrapping paper is adorable," said the quick Y/N. " Wait did one of the beasts make it?" she questioned.

"Oh, yeah it was Pickett!" Newt said happily as he pulled Pickett from his bowtie, Pickett was trying to make sure Newt looked nice for Y/N's birthday.

"Pickett! This is amazing!" Everyone in the room could tell that Y/N was very excited and this was just the wrapping paper!Pickett leapt right onto Y/N finger from his height of Newt's hair.

Y/N picked up the small wrapped present and opened it very carefully. She/He unwrapped it to find a small canvas of a painting of her/him with her/his hair up in a mop/ of curly hair /bun while reading.She/He hugged him and ran to the suitcase where she/he put it up in here room.Y/N came back up a bit later and when she/he came out of the case she/he just fell.

She/He then opened another wrapped presents and she/he got a painting of all of the beasts everywhere in the world that Newt and Y/N went together.She got so excited and fell on the floor again.

"Okay well umm we have one more present, bead," Newt told Y/N he opened a black velvet box opening to find a Thunderbird Necklace.

"Oh, Merilbeard this is amazing Newt I love it!" Y/N started crying over the fact she has so many wonderfull friends and that she got a beautiful necklace from the one person she/he always wanted to be with.
