I know she is waiting for me. She always does. Laying in bed with wine, patiently waiting. All I could ever dream of having; Callie is the perfect girlfriend and soon, she'll be my perfect wife. In all honesty, she's a perfect person. Balanced and calm yet touched with a little bit of crazy and wild.
As I walk in the door, I see her on the couch turning her head towards me. All I can feel is the heat rushing to my face and that I am smiling the brightest I have in years without even thinking. I join her on the couch as she brings me into her loving arms.
While knowing no one lives forever, I feel like this moment would last a lifetime. Just me and Callie and nothing in between. Nothing that could ever tear us apart.
