The black and white pulled up to a bar. It had been pretty quiet for most of the day. Just a few speeders, run stop signs, and parking violations but it was ok. Erika understood that a quiet day for the patrol was a good day for the patrol.
Now they had been called to respond to a bar fight. "These can get pretty ugly" Pete explained for the third time since the call "I want you to stay- Erika!"
She was already out of the car and waiting on the sidewalk with Jim. Pete was mumbling something that would probably get said to her later but she didn't want Uncle Peter to baby her. Erika wanted to just get out there and learn already!
He closed the car door and she followed the two men inside. For the first time Erika noticed how short she was compared to them. It almost made her nervous to feel so small.
Her mind flashed back to the academy where she had earned the nickname Shrimp. Maybe they're right... maybe I am too small...
Erika quickly shook away the thought when she remembered that she was also called T.T. (Tiny terror) because of how strong, fast and witty she really was.
Erika focused back on the task when she heard the sound of punches being thrown and glasses being shattered. Pete gave her one final warning glance before they entered the bar.
Right away the group had to dodge a flying barstool. They crouched a bit as the went for the manager at the bar. "How did this get started?" Pete yelled over the noise. The man just shrugged.
There were four guys all a lot bigger than even Reed. Suddenly one was pushed against the counter just barely missing Lasky. Malloy and Jim went for him while Erika decided to try and take the two by the far end of the room.
Not seeing the small officer in his way the man charged full speed to the guy behind her. She simply stepped aside and put her foot out. There was a thud as he hit the floor. Erika's partners were still struggling with the other two.
"Hey!" He yelled while his "buddy" started laughing. "You got beat by a lady fuzz Tank" he mocked. Tank snarled "Why you little-" he started for the other man but spun around fast to throw a punch at Erika.
But given her size she was much faster. Erika ducked and knocked his feet out from under him in one swift movement. Before he could even register what had happened she had him pinned and cuffed.
Out of nowhere a force slammed into Erika's side sending her crashing into the cold stone wall. Pete looked up at the comotion wide eyed. "Erika!" He shouted. Erika was in a motionless heap as the man advanced on her.
The man reached her before Pete could and he watched in horror as he lunged. Then with a tremendous amount of force Lasky kicked both her legs out hitting him hard in the chest. Stunned, he fell back.
With the speed of a rabbit Jim sprang forward and cuffed him. Erika's blonde hair had fallen loose from her neatly placed bun and was now covering half of her face which she was almost glad for. She was sure her cheek was bruised and that Pete was starring at her.
Is he mad at me like before? She worried. The female officer slowly lifted her head expecting to see Pete glaring at her. She was suprised to see that he was... smiling! He was really smiling at her with more pride than she had ever seen.
"Clever" Pete stated "Scared me half to death but clever" Erika beamed at both Pete and Jim ignoring the pain in her cheek. Jim laughed "Guess that's why they call you Tiny Terror huh?"
