"My sister must not unite the four weapons!" Sensei frantically explained, "we must keep them apart!"

With that, Sensei Sue ran off in the direction of the dragon mouth cave. With no other choice, Nathan and I followed.

"Awaken guardian of the deep!" shrieked Lady Garmadon's shadow, the silhouette growing larger with each gasp, "they are stealing the sword!" Her blood red eyes grew wide with panic. "You must not let them escape!"

Sensei Sue leaped over to Garmadon's shadow, but landed on the reptilian head that slowly rose out of the molten rock. It emerged as a fully grown orange, red, and gold dragon. It had leathery wings and eyes that glinted in the dim orange glow of the temple. Protruding from the monster's mouth were iridescent white fangs that were as big as Jayne!

The dragon breathed steamy, hot breath at us as it roared. It's breath was so hot, it made my face begin to blister, not to mention it reeked of sulfur. It roared again, causing Nathan to scream. The overgrown lizard rammed it's fire-tipped tail at some stalactites that hung above the entrance to the temple. The cave shook as the rock formations fell to the ground and blocked our only exit. We were screwed.

"There's no way out," I muttered. "It's taken away all of our options!"

"All," Sensei said solemnly, "but one."

The old woman flipped away from our platform and raised the sword of fire at the dragon. She was dangerously close the the mouth of the dragon-head cave.

"Sensei!" I cried, "What are you doing?"

Without an answer, Sensei Sue used the golden sword to slice the obsidian platform that she was standing on in two, and, on a small rock island, she slowly drifted along the lava. Before I even realized what Sensei was doing, her sister was already shouting her head off.

"No, you fool!" Lady Garmadon yelled.

"If Samukai is to take the weapons here, then I will take the sword of fire to the underworld," Sensei Sue explained. She and the rock that she stood on were floating along the lava river. She was already on the edge of the surface world by the time I could react. "It is my sacrifice to pay," she whispered. Sensei Sue sat down on the chunk of earth as it neared the drop off.

"No!" I screamed, with tears welling up in my eyes. "It's my sacrifice to pay! I shouldn't have come on my own... you don't have to do this!" I was sobbing now, "There... there has to be another way! You can't die!"

Sensei Sue pulled out her tea things from Ninjago knows where and began to pour herself a cup just as she floated over the edge.

"NO!" I shrieked, collapsing to the stone floor. This was all my fault. I'm... I'm such an idiot.

The heat from the lava began to scorch my skin through my ninja gi. It was nearly tattered and I had scrapes everywhere from my shadow battle. I crouched there as my sweat mingled with my tears, and just barely heard Lady Garmadon's raspy voice.

"And I will see you there, sister dear," she hissed. I heard a faint whooshing sound, signaling that her shadowy form had left the temple.

"It's all my fault," sobbed to myself, my voice cracking. "I'm sure that Sensei Sue won't be able to hold out for long."

"Forget Sensei," Nathan muttered, "what about us?"

Wiping my eyes, I got up and turned to see what she meant. In front of me stood the fire dragon, reared back and ready to pounce.

"Crap," I said to myself, fighting to hold back a scream as the creature roared and breathed it's boiling, sulfurous breath into our faces.
