Kailee
"...We made it!" Nicole exclaimed. Her shrill voice echoed, bouncing off of the walls of... where were we?
I sat up and looked around. Lava coursed through tributaries that etched their way into the ground far, far below us. The ninja and I sat on a cliff, our dragons behind us. All around us was purple stone. It made up the walls and ceiling of this gigantic, endless cavern. There were floating platforms of the same mineral, and steam rose from the molten rock below. Stalactites jutted out from the cieling and stalagmites poked out from the ground, ready to impale anyone who happened to fall on top of one of them.
The Underworld.
On one particularly large platform was a large temple that seemed to be made of a collection of rocks (mainly obsidian) and bones. The skeletal vehicles were parked outside of the building, and some skeletons were milling around the area.
"Sensei Sue's inside," Zinnia remarked.
"It looks like they're expecting us," Nicole replied, tucking a loose strand of black hair into her hood. She referred to the creatures that were outside of the temple. They were hauling around catapults and other various weapons.
"Hold up!" the skeleton with the plated helmet cried, his voice bouncing around the platforms. He was talking to one of his comrades that was wheeling in a cart full of what seemed to be canisters of poison. "Nothing get's through without inspection!"
"Ninja search!" shrieked another skeleton that had spikes embedded into his skull and one eye missing. He leaped onto the cart and scattered the weapons all over. His co-inspector shook his head and grimaced. "All good here," the one-eyed one commented.
Taking the event as a chance to get moving, Nicole began to swing onto the stalactites in the roof, jumping to each one like monkey bars at a playground. I followed right after her, with Zinnia and Jayne behind me.
I held back a yelp as the spire of rock that I was holding crumbled a bit, my heart pounding. Honestly, heights weren't my favorite thing in the entire world. Time seemed to end as the piece of stone that had broken off fell through the air and hit a skeleton on the skull. In the silence, I was holding my breath, wating for something awful to happen.
Nothing did... yet.
Jayne
I made my way along the stalactites, glad that I was pretty light. When Kailee made that piece fall on the skeleton, I'm pretty sure everyone was about to, like, pass out or something. Fortunately, nothing happened, that is, until I encountered a big problem.
Grabbing onto what I thought was just any ordinary rock formation, I silently cursed Nicole for whacking me in the throat. It was especially aggravating because, let's face it, I love to talk. It's just really fun, because there's so much to tell everyone! But, look, even my narration gets off topic, so maybe, I thought to myself, not having me talk was for the best, because we'd be caught already. Inside, I was jumping for joy. Let's face it, Nathan was pretty darn cute.
However, what I had latched onto was not a stalactite. Heck, it wasn't even a rock. It was too... shiny. I glanced up and attempted to scream. Of course, nothing really came out except for some raspy noises, but I wish there had been more, because there was a huge spider right in my face. It wasn't just any ordinary spider, either, it had eight huge beady red eyes and fangs that were longer than my arm span. It was all black, save for it's ghost white face and the stripes on each leg.
Also, everyone else was clinging onto a spider leg, and, I realized, there were two of the monsters.
The arachnid was shaking me around, trying to either throw me off or put me into its ginormous pincers, and I was trying the hardest I could to scream. My throat ached, but I needed to try or I would probably, no, scratch that, definitely die!
"Can I just say," Nicole whispered to Kailee with a smirk, "that it's been an absolute pleasure now that Jayne lost her voice." Kailee giggled and nodded in agreement.
I scowled and attempted to scream louder, now quite angry. Wow Nicole, I thought we had, like, a super best friendship. Of course, Kailee was usually pretty rude and fussy, but come on Nicole.
Finally, the two girls looked up. Zinnia followed, and all screamed. The spiders, out of shock or something, shook us off, and we went tumbling through the air and down to where the skeletons all were.
Upon landing, I'm pretty sure I sprained an ankle, and Zinnia definitely should have broken her back (but she didn't, which was super weird). Nicole's index finger was bent really weirdly, and Kailee had a bloody nose, which she merely wiped on her sleeve. At least the color matched. We also all were pretty scraped up, and would most certainly have a number of bruises, should we make it to morning. I shuddered at the thought.
As bad as our injuries were, we had much bigger problems. We had attracted the attention of the, what, five skeletons on guard. Of course, they were being stupid.
"Um, if it's more than one ninja, do you say ninjas or ninja?" the one with an eye missing asked his comrade.
"I think it's just ninja," helmet head commented.
"Oh, well, in that case," the other skeleton said, "NINJA!"
That had caused the two-dozen skeletons around us to look our way, and, once we were in their sights, the advanced on us with their weapons drawn. Immediately, we jumped up and go into a back-to-back formation, each of us in a fighting stance.
"Okay, ladies, I've counted ten of those boneheads to every one of us." Nicole shrugged, and then added with her voice oozing with sarcasm, "I like these odds."
I rolled my eyes.
Even then, the skeletons weren't the best fighters in the world. We could take them. I was feeling pretty darn confident until about eight spiders came down from the ceiling, fangs bared. Crap.
"Uh oh," Zinnia muttered.
"Anyone got any bright ideas?" Kailee shrieked. Her voice was higher than usual. I couldn't blame her, though, because we were all about to die.

Sensei Sue had just made it up the very, very long spiral staircase that led to the top of the skeleton temple, and was cautiously making her way into the throne room of her sister. She hadn't seen her sibling in years, not since they were young women, and she had gone fully dark. Not since she was banished to this godforsaken place. She clutched the sword of fire in her hand, wrapped in a parcel, glancing around the room for her sister. Where was she?
"Sister," came a sickly sweet voice from behind her.
Sue whipped around and took the sword out from it's bindings, a look of disgust on her face. "Sister," she sneered.
"Seize the sword!" Lady Garmadon cried.
Sensei Sue was about to laugh, seeing that none of her sister's minions were around. But, on command, dozens crept from the shadows, surrounding her. There were only two options; to use the sword or to use spinjitzu. Since the former was strictly forbidden, she went with the latter option, going into a glittering golden cyclone and knocking skeletons all over the place.
"You'll have to take it from me yourself!" Sensei Sue called.
Lady Garmadon merely smirked as Samukai came out from behind, the other three weapons clenched in three of his four hands. "My pleasure" he cackled.
