Chapter 1:
(Emily's POV)
I dropped my bag on the side table when Andrew closed the door to my apartment behind himself.
"I'm just saying that the guy didn't need to take you're coat." He stated taking his suit jacket off. I sat down to undo the straps of my heels as we carried on speaking.
"He was only doing his job." I commented making him further paranoid finding his reactions amusing. I couldn't believe he was still going on about it and
"We were in Walmart." He replied. I stood to put my shoes to the side
"He was polite to carry it around for me." I said jokingly knowing that it was getting on his nerves. I knew perfectly well that the sales assistant was trying to push to get my number by trying to impress me but I was with Andrew. I had been with him since we were in College and we've just stayed together ever since, we just worked, there was nothing exciting about us, we just were together. I felt his arms slide around my waist pulling me closer to his body. I knew what he was trying to do but despite his efforts of his lips brushing against my neck, I was tired and I really needed to get to bed. I turned towards him, pressing my hands softly on his chest to push him away a bit to show I wasn't in the mood.
"Not tonight." I muttered before walking towards the bedroom, sliding away from his touch. The issue between us and why we don't get intimate anymore might just be the fact that we're growing apart. I carried on in my thoughts as I got dressed and ready for bed, with Andrew following shortly doing the same.
I think the difference between us now and say a couple of years ago was that I loved him then and I love him now, it's just not the same love that I felt so long ago. I crawled into bed when Andrew took a phone call, leaving the room when I tucked myself in, bringing the covers over me. I was getting lost in my thoughts in the dark not even bothering to listen into Andrew's conversation, it was usually boring drivel about either work or sports. Another issue between us is the connection, that faded as well. I used to get butterflies or at least excited around him and now it's just meh. Whilst my thoughts consumed me, so did my tiredness and soon I was fading into my sleep.

I sat up from the cold biting cobble that lay beneath me. The cold breeze taking me back as I felt everything suddenly became surreal. Standing to my feet, I looked down to see how my clothes were changed. A white lace long sleeved Bohemian mini dress that flowed from the waist, showing my chest slightly was covering my tanned body. I had no shoes on strangely which didn't help with the frozen flooring making me instantly cold. My blonde hair was slightly waved like beach curls or as I know it: my natural hair. I decided to look around instead of focus on myself and the scenery suddenly took me by surprise. I was in a villa that was filled with branches and balcony's that surrounded an indoor water fountain that was trickling the clearest water. My attention turned as I noticed the sunset beaming through the open doors and windows, revealing how big the building was. It was breath taking really, I've never been to places like this, and I know that I am in a dream because no way would I have been able to get here.
"Hello?" A male voice beamed making my attention turn away from the decor to the man. And I thought I was shocked to see the villa ... Now I see it must be just an accessory to him. Wow, My imagination has baffled me once again, this guy was hot.
"Hi." I replied a little curiously. I didn't know what to say, even in my dreams I'm not confident. That's typical. I looked the guy up and down to see he was wearing a similar look to me: He wore complete white, white slim fit jeans I guess with a white vest top and a white shirt that hung un-buttoned on his built frame. His brunette hair was wild and he too wore no shoes. A lingering feeling in the pit of my stomach arose when he began to walk closer, it was as if an internal pull was bringing us together. I took a step back not liking the feeling and yet liking it too much, so we could have some distance.
"Where are we?" He asked looking a little concerned or confused, either way he didn't look happy. I bet I looked awkward, I hadn't stopped gawking at him since he made himself known. I didn't know what to say back that question, I knew we were in my dreams but that would sound weird to come straight out with.
"I'm presuming it's some sort of villa." I answered sheepishly. Tucking a piece of hair behind my ear, I took a few strides towards the water fountain in curiosity. I could his gaze follow me as I walked. He grinned a little at my response obviously figuring out that my answer was the obvious.
"So what's your name?" I asked, hiding myself at the other side of the fountain. I could feel his movements follow mine from the opposite side.
"Harrison. Walker. What about you?" He replied. Harrison? Bit of a random name for my brain to come up with? But it sounded nice and it worked with him so.
"Emily Duncan." I stated back moving around so I could see him as he stopped a metre away from me. This feeling was oddly out of place, It felt like I had known him before and that we were magnets pulling towards each other. Feeling like a school kid, I brushed off the feelings finding them ridiculous as we stood staring in each others eyes.
"Nice to meet you." The dream man said.
