Chapter 2:

(Harrison's POV)

"Nice to meet you." I said looking at the silhouette in front of me. This wasn't like the dreams I've hand recently, this one was more calm. My dreams usually consist of nightmares of my hometown and being stuck there, being in a villa with a beautiful woman was a nice change.

"Are you okay?" She asked pulling me out of my thoughts, I'm surprised she didn't hear my thoughts considering that this was a dream.

"Uh ... yeah." I stuttered coming to. She was smiling, looking a little awkward as if she didn't know how to react around me. But I could understand the feeling, for some strange reason I felt obliged to get to know her more. Maybe this was because of the fact that this was a dream or just my intuition, however there was something oddly familiar and enticing to this woman. I was intrigued to find out more.

"Why don't we look around this place?" I suggested taking a step towards her. My breath hitched when she too came closer towards me. Something about her was making me nervous, captivated even. Why was I feeling like this? This wasn't normal, to me anyway. And she is a figure of my imagination nevertheless. I shrugged on the emotions that were distracting my mind and decided to walk around with her.

"So tell me about yourself." I stated starting conversation.

"There's not much to tell, I live in Perth Australia, I'm 27 and I work as an accountant at the tech company Atlassian. What about yourself?" She explained, the detail was surreal, I'm surprised I could come up with that.

"Okay so I come from Monroe Louisiana, I'm 32 and I'm travelling around the word as a photographer for Nat-Geo." I Answered

"Wow so our lives couldn't be any more of an opposite." She commented as we walked up the staircase.

"Yeah it's crazy."  I muttered.

"This place is insane." She said as we found ourselves reaching a balcony. The sun was setting and the light was beaming through the open door. She ran a little ahead to get a better view, getting herself lost in the moment. I got myself lost in watching her, she looked so free, it was nice to see a girl not so attached to something like work or religion or their french braids like Kari. Now I'm thinking about it, how come i'm thinking in my head in my dream? I'm not saying anything out loud otherwise this Emily chick would have picked up on it and said something sarcastic like my humour would make her do.

"It's not what I could ever think of." I commented admiring her.

"Me neither." Her accent came through making me smile. She turned grinning as I lent on the side watching her look at to the village. It was set as if were in a little village in Italy, kind of similar to Florence but you could tell it was smaller and older with the brick work. Why would my mind bring me here? I've been to Italy twice, it wasn't what I expected but I wouldn't class it as dream worthy.

Her dress swirled as she fully turned to me, her hair flowing in the movement as her steps strode towards me, making me stand up right. Her presence for some reason was making me nervous. Her eyes fell from my lips to my eyes and before I couldn't even think of what I was doing, I collided our lips together. Her hands pressed on each side of my hear as she continued, tying her hands from my face around my neck. I set my hands on her gentle waist, pulling her figure to mine as our lips got lost in the motions. But as the touch felt so feel, so did the fading of my dream.

I awoke suddenly, leaning up inhaling deeply as if I had just been passed out from not breathing. The dream felt like a part of that was being pulled away from my soul, like I was cursed and the other half of me was being put to the back of the cupboard so to speak.

"Dude are you okay?" Evan call out to me from behind me. I looked around to see that he was joined by a worried Kari and my sister Alex.

"Oh my god he's awake." I heard Alex mutter. My tent became crowded with their worried faces and their over dramatic caring. I was only asleep, had I done something in my sleep to them?

"Yeah. Just had a bad dream. Why are you all in my tent?" I answered

"Just a bad dream?" Alex said sounding like she was shocked I didn't know the truth.

"Harri you weren't breathing. We've been trying to get you back to living for an hour now." Evan explained, less startling tone.

"We thought you were dead." Kari continued looking into her hands. Well that explains the way I woke up, but was that why I had the dream? Was I on the other side? Was that why it felt so real? I took another deep breath thinking about what they said.

"Do you need to go to the hospital?" Alex asked being a concerned little sister.

"It's going to cost so much though, even with his travel insurance." Kari said making a valid point.

"And I feel fine anyway so." I answered.

"Well I think you should at least get checked out." Alex stated.

"He's a big boy Al, I think he'll be fine." Evan said putting his hand on my shoulder laughing it out to make it less awkward. Alex shot him a look before looking at me for assurance.

"If It happens again I'll go." I said putting her mind at ease. We watched her leave the tent, her best friend Kari following behind her. I rolled my eyes and shuffled out of my sleeping back.

"Well I'm going to make breakfast. It'll be ready in five." Evan spoke shuffling himself.

"Okay I'll be out soon." I replied, watching him leave my tent, closing the zip behind himself. I stopped moving around for a moment after getting dressed and ready to leave just so I could think. That dream felt so real and Emily ... she felt true. But really, she was just another by passing memory. I shaked myself out of my thoughts once again and left the tent ready for the reality ahead of me.
