Chapter 12:
(Harrison's POV)
I felt the tingling sensation run through my body as it was pulled out of the dream and into a different one. I blinked, my eyes adjusting to the dim light. It was the cold that reached my skin first. I looked at what I was wearing to find I was wearing a 3 piece formal white suit and no shoes. I don't even think I own any of this. And why wasn't I wearing any shoes? Where was I? Was this still apart of the dream? I looked up as I saw Emily eyes fall upon mine.
"Emilia?" I asked. She was too dressed in formal wear, but not of this generation. Her blonde hair were in tight curls under a really small hat. Whilst her dress looked like Victorian style costume but fancy and all in white. I had no control of my voice, nor my body. It was like I was stuck in the body of someone else.
"Yes my love." She responded. I took her hand and place my other on top. Her voice was soft and comforting, and I recognised her soul but I knew this wasn't the Emily I knew.
"We will survive this." I commented.
"I wish we could live a life together in the real world for once." She spoke, her eyes filling with tears.
"We will." I replied, taking a finger to raise her lowered head.
"When? We have been through an eternity of this torture. Remembering, forgetting, living apart, dying when we final touch each other in the real world." She said, taring away from the moment, taking steps away towards the fountain. We were in the same villa that I usually am in with Emily. In fact it looked untouched.
"This curse will be over. I promise you one day we will be in our original bodies and this torment will be over. We can live our forever then." I explained. What was I talking about? Original bodies? I had so many questions but the biggest one was why did I not have any control? I followed after her as she stood by the window looking out at the outside world.
"I want our forever now." She whispered. Her gentle tears fell down her cheeks as if her hope was leaving her.
"I do too. But it wasn't meant to be for this life." I took steps on dismay towards her. This was freaking me out. For this life? Are we going to die or something? I stood next to her staring at her beauty. Even in this life, she was breath taking. My hand took of her hat, letting her hair flow down her shoulders. She looked deeply into my gaze as I place the hat down onto the Windowsill and placed my hand on her cheek, when she began nuzzling into it.
"We will be together. I will always find you. In this dream in any other life." I pressed. She lifted her head as pressed her lips onto mine, the sensation of when I arrived into the body overcame me as I was brought back into the original dream. I opened my eyes softly, to see Emily standing there just as confused as I was.
"Where you just ...?" She asked, referring to the dream world I was just in.
"Where you?" I asked back.
"I was in a body looking at you but it wasn't you." She explained. She too must have been stuck in her body but in the other reality I guess.
"I was in that body." I answered. Her face became confused as she turned, her dress swaying with her motion.
"What is going on?" She quizzed as she turned. I took a step forward towards her, the connection pulling me closer.
"I don't know." I replied unsure myself how to answer.
"Do we know each other?" She asked, taking strides towards me, her face practically in front of mine as she looked me in the eyes, the connection growing deeper.
"I don't know. Maybe?" I asked. I couldn't help but put my hand through her hair to feel the soft gentle curls. Her eyes closed as she took in the moment.
"I think we should meet in the real world." She brought up. Her head rose as her eyes did to reach mine.
"Did you not hear what they said?" I asked. I lowered my hand away from her and felt the connection pull.
"Maybe the closer we get to each other the more we will know." She guessed, taking a step closer so our hips were gently touching but our bodies were leaning away. I took her hand and played with her fingers, intertwining and undoing them as I spoke.
"I'm willing to take the chance if you are" I answered. If it were to be true, we would know when we see each other. Her eyes fell on our hands innocently playing. At this point, the truth seems so absurd but with everything in mind, life has become so twisted and weird, I wouldn't be surprised if there was something else to this. She slowly nodded still looking down. I slid my free hand around her thin waist, pulling her towards me, her dress getting gathered in my hand. She rose her head and started to blush at how close we now were. She was so close she probably could hear my heartbeat getting faster.
"So when can I next see you?" She said interrupting my thoughts.
"Seeing as i'm travelling anyway, it would be easier for me to come to you." I replied. I don't know how I would be able to convince everyone to join me into coming to Perth,
"Are you sure? I can come to you?" She commented as she moved a piece of hair out of my face, putting her hands through my hair to make it stay.
"Well seeing as i'm living in a tent at the moment, I think it would be better for me to come to Perth." I replied making her laugh.
"Okay" She said.
"I'll text you the details of where I live when we're awake." She continued, leaving her free hand on my arm.
"Okay, I'll be getting on the next flight." I stated, smiling.
"There isn't any rush." She said, I could see she didn't want to pressure me but there was no pressure.
"I know. I just really want to meet you in the real world." I spoke back smiling like a teenage boy with a crush.
"I'm no different." She laughed out.
"I just hope this connection will be there when we're out of here." I commented as she lent in.
"I know it will be the same." She said. Before I knew it, she placed a gentle kiss on my lips, releasing me from the dream and waking me up to start my journey to her.
