Life had become plain, simple, nothing caught my eye anymore. Nothing interested me, everything had already been observed and noticed.

Questions, answered.

Answers, questioned.

Life had become boring. I don't like boring. In fact I hate boring...

There was however one case that hadn't been solved, one question that was still burning.

But she hadn't been seen since the ball, she hadn't been seen before the ball either. But invites are only given to people within our village community, so she must live here. She didn't stand alone at the ball either, so obviously people knew her and she had friends, also living in the village.

Suddenly my hometown had turned into a game of chess.

I had to watch everyone's moves. Observing people, it's what I do best.

And if at the end of all this, she turns out to be perfectly normal (which to be honest is unlikely) at least it gave me some entertainment for a while.

I drew map of the village out, drawing everyone's homes, businesses, parks and greenery and stuck it on my wall. I labelled everyone in the village and their relationships with certain buildings, now this is where the fun should begin.

I grabbed my coat and went for a walk outside, who was standing with this girl? Mr Jenson, he was talking to her for a while. I headed for Jenson's Family Bakery, mainly for answers but partially because all of this thinking made me hungry.

"Ahh, Mr Jenson, how are you today?"

"Very good, thank you Mr Boursier." Jenson replied, "I haven't seen you since the ball, my goodness that was nearly two weeks ago already."

"Oh yes, doesn't time fly." I replied, with little interest, I didn't really care for mindless chit chat, but still I have to go along with it.

"It was fantastic wasn't it, but a shame we didn't get to speak."

"You must have been with all the ladies Mr Jenson?" I laughed while adding a cheeky wink to make sure he knew I was joking.

"Don't think my wife would like that, I wouldn't complain though." He laughed, "No, we were stood with her friends, I hadn't a clue who they were to be honest." I ordered a cake and left after laughing a bit more to act as if I was enjoying our conversation, I wasted my fake smiles on ordering a cake. A tasty cake to be fair, but not important information on finding Cinderella, just cake..

Mrs Harrods ran past, "No time to feel sorry for yourself lad, come on get up." I looked up from my slouched position on the park bench, "What are you talking about?"

"Haven't you heard?"

"Well I don't know do I, because that question is in-complete and is a very insufficient way of finding out quick answers." She sighed and grabbed me by the arm dragging me along the path with her.

"Okay smart arse, have you heard about Mr Valentines dinner party?"

"Who an earth is Mr Valentine?"

"The hidden founder of our community, he is our saint, but likes to keep himself to himself."

I arrived late along with Mrs Harrods; the dinner party had become a gathering to the elder members of the community and a house party to the younger members. Soon after Mr Valentine left with the older members to the local pub, leaving everyone over 18 that wanted to stay, at his house. The party exploded and became hard to resist. I didn't want to get too drunk so tried to leave, but was persuaded not too by my friend Finn.

A sociopath with friends, unusual perhaps, but I know that.

I drunk and drunk the alcohol, the world began to spin. I lay down and fell asleep, waking up feeling better and ready to continue the party that was still in action. I sat on the edge of the bed I had ended up in, running my fingers through my hair.

The door was left open ajar, I noticed a female run across the hall with a black silk duvet cover partially wrapped around her. Dipping at the back revealing her seductive black underwear, I didn't want to look, I felt rude. But I couldn't help myself, it wasn't because I was attracted to her, because clearly she was an attractive lady anybody could see that. I only saw her from behind, but she seemed familiar.

I shook it off and got up to leave when I noticed the buttons on my shirt had been opened revealing my chest and my belt was undone. Oh no, please no.

I got up and quickly ran after this girl, doing my belt up as I ran. A few heads turned as I ran around the house with my shirt undone. Wolf whistles seemed to echo around the house,

"Hello handsome." Shouted a few girls but I daren't turn my head, don't react I told myself. I saw the edge of a black silk duvet go through a door,

"Excuse me!" I shouted, quickly doing up my shirt but I didn't fasten the buttons quick enough, she turned around before I had chance.

"I don't mean to seem rude, but did we just sleep together?" I guess the answer was no, because the next thing I know I was being slapped across the face.

"Oh and one more thing," Her voice seemed sweet yet sexy, "nice abs" She winked and with that left the room.
