"I suppose that was totally badass!" Finn laughed chasing after me, "I mean you were a jerk, but it was cool." I had to admit, walking out of there it did feel like one of those moments you see on TV, that you wish you could just have the nerves to pull off without making a complete fool of yourself.

"Yeah well, don't expect me to drive you home in an Aston Martin."

"So where ne-"

"Bye Finnigan" I interrupted turning the corner of the road, giving a quick formal wave as I walked away, leaving Finn stood there looking rather gormless. I thought about going home but the slight chill in the air and clear dark night reminded me of why I loved walking, especially at this time.

Silence surrounded the village, except for the gleeful shouts and calls echoing throughout the pub. The remaining silence was peaceful leaving me with time to reflect. Long blades of grass bordering the golden beach were swaying in the cool breeze, sand swirling through the wispy air. The ocean glistened under the moonlight, sparkling like a fairy had spilt her magical dust into the ultramarine waves, creating a scene budding photographers would regret they had missed. Then I noticed, the outline of a figure dancing along the tide, her long hair flowing behind her as she leaped through the air. I couldn't help but notice her long legs as she pirouetted to finish of her mesmerising dance.

I began to casually walk down the beach, my ocd tendencies breaking out slightly as I noticed all of the tiny fragments of sand attaching themselves to my favourite leather shoes. I shook it off my mind and carried on walking, skimming stones as I walked along the edge of the ocean.

I might not be one for "picking up chicks" but when somebody does rarely catch my eye, I'm an opportunist, (that doesn't mean I expect too much) just to get too know them really. I think about saying hello, as I begin to get nearer, but my throat chokes up. The words refusing to come out, like I haven't used them for years. No, it's not worth it, she wouldn't want to talk to me anyway. I return to skimming the stones, secretly enjoying myself as the stone hops over the sea a few more times than the last one.

"I bet I can beat your score." A female voice calls from behind me.

"Who says I'm counting." I reply, my back still facing her, going against my instinct of finding out the true extent of her beauty.

"Anybody that skims stones at this time of night, clearly enjoys a challenge." A stone passes mine, hopping twice more than my highscore, she places her hand on my shoulder, encouraging me to turn around. I couldn't believe my eyes as they fell upon her face, just managing to stop my jaw from dropping and smacking against the sandy ground.

He long ebony hair framing her ghostly white face and trailing down her back till it reached midway, her plump lips painted crimson highlighting them as an area of focus, as my eyes scanned her face my heart rate rapidly increased. Her eyes were quite small, which made her even more attractive, but as her eyes looked up at me and her lashes fluttered occasionally she looked innocent and sweet, like she wasn't aware of how beautiful she could be. Her eyes were forest green, I could see it now, she was a curious black cat chasing the butterflies in the night, a spirit watcher.

"I used to skim stones as a child, it's a great way to pass time, you seem to feel the same." She said tapping her index finger on my shoulder, "But I expect you don't spend all of your time doing that."

I laughed, "I used to do the same, I still come here most nights the beach is calming and peaceful, a great place to think and have some privacy, more so at dark of course." I picked up a handful of stones chucking the useless ones to ground and giving the girl some stones that were perfect for skimming. We played each other a few more times, not a word was spoken just the sound of the waves hitting the rocks to fill the silence. It was nice, comforting, enjoying each others company without needing the use of words.

"You're different aren't you?"

"That's not really for me to say, I might be normal and everyone is else around me is just different." I chuckled, "Then again I like being different, it makes me the same as you."

A cute little smile began to play at her lips, her cheeks beginning to a go a rosy pink, "You won't ever be the same as me." A frown began to form on her face, she was burying something, hiding it from the world, but I could tell that at the moment she was relaxed and happy.

"I could be, we might both be hiding something." I said skimming my last stone and sitting on the sand, I patted the floor next to me, requesting she sat there, she did, but not before I removed my coat and lay it on the ground for her to sit on.

"Thanks," She said, "I've never met anyone like you before, you make me feel like I have known you all of my life."

"Perhaps you have, in your heart."

"You don't  even know anything about me! You don't even know my name, why are you being so nice?" She laughed, but I could tell the question was one she wanted a serious answer to anyway.

"What can I say, I am a gentleman. I saw a beautiful, young girl, someone about the same age as me dancing along the shore where I would normally be. She spoke to me and straight away I felt a connection, I knew this girl was special and somebody I wanted to get to know better. The girl who could make my life a whole lot sweeter, she knows it too. However she's hiding something, I suppose that makes her shady but not to me, I love a good mystery. My very own mystery to solve, my mystery girl."

She looked up at me, the moon light shining on her face lighting up her gorgeous features, with her face just in front of mine and one of her hands lightly placed on top of my hand she whispered, "Guys like you don't exist in the real world."
