Leo Valdez- I need you

     Trigger Warning
     You and Leo had been dating for a while now, but you still didn't have the courage to tell him about your depression. Much less the fact that you self harm.
     The scars on your arm were long and slim, including the new fresh red ones you added last night. You hated doing this to yourself, but you felt compelled to. And you weren't strong enough to resist it.
     You and Leo were currently sitting in his room on the Argo II. He was working on a small project and you were reading. Or so he thought.
     You couldn't focus on your book. You were staring at one word: feelings. You stared at that word, and sadness filled you. Your feelings were out on control, but sometimes they would zone out for a while and you would feel nothing. That's when you cut. To remind you that you could feel.
     Tears started forming in you eyes, but you blinked them away quickly. You couldn't let him know you did this or felt this. He'd never trust you again. He might even leave you.
     You took some deep breathes, trying to eliminate your tears. It didn't work.
     You let one fall. As soon as you did, Leo looked over.
     "What's wrong, y/n?" he said, immediately wrapping his arms around you. You sobbed into his shoulder. You couldn't keep it in anymore. You had to tell him. Somehow...
     "Shhhh, it's alright Princess. I'm here," he whispered.
     "H-help..." you managed to say.
     Leo pulled away and looked at you with a confused expression. You looked at you arm with sadness.
     Leo looked at your arm a second after you did. He felt nervous: you couldn't be cutting... right?
     Leo grabbed you arm gently and rolled up your sleeve. What he saw broke his heart.
     Many scars covered your arm. The new ones stood out, and he stared in sadness.
     "I-I'm sorry," you whispered,"I just–"
     Leo cut you off with a kiss. Not just a peck, but a real kiss. A desperate one.
     You pulled away, gasping for breathe. You looked into his brown eyes, which were now spilling tears. He stared into you e/c eyes and moved a piece of h/c hair out of you face.
     "Y/n... why?" Leo asked with a shaky voice,"Why, Baby? Why?"
     "B-because I'm depressed," you finally said, shocking him,"My feelings are so strong. And when I can't feel them, I cut to know that I can still feel physically. I feel like I'm drowning."
     "No, y/n no!" Leo cried, wrapping his arms around you again and pulling you onto his lap,"This isn't the answer. Cutting isn't what you do to solve something like this! I'm going to help you through this; you'll never be alone. You never were."
     This made you heart melt, and you cracked the first smile in a long time.
     "I need you to be strong, ok Princess?" Leo said, tears still falling,"If you ever feel nothing again, come straight to me. I don't care when or how far away I am. Let me know, and I'll be there. I need you to trust me on this. I-I need you y/n!"
     He sobbed harder than he'd ever sobbed before. He couldn't imagine you sinking into depression like that. He cradled you tightly, in fear that you would slip away.
     "I need you too, Leo," you said,"More than anything."
     Leo's sobs quieted a little bit. He kissed the top of you head and you smiled again.
     From that point on, Leo did everything he could to help you. He would save you from drowning and make you happy again. That was his one goal in life now.
     You needed each other, and that's what you got.
