Nico the Ghost

   "See ya later Death Breath." mumbled Thalia as she ran to tell Percy that Nico had run off again for a few days.

   As soon as she was done with that she ran over to the rest of the hunters of Artemis to tell them get moving so they could hit Gotham by nightfall.

   5 hours later the huntresses finally arrived in Gotham peckish for a little action. But before they were allowed to run wild Thalia had to go through the mission parameters one last time.

   "Okay huntresses, we are here because of the increased monster activity. That means we are hunting monsters and ONLY monsters." she gave a pointed look to the hunters as she said this. "That means NO mortals."

   "What about men?" asked a newbie named Erin.

   "No, not even men." Thalia told her. "Lady Artemis gave specific instructions that we were not to shoot ANYBODY including men."

   "But why not!" wined another huntress named Kaylee.

   "Because...." replied Thalia. "Gotham is protected by a mortal that people call the Batman and Lady Artemis doesn't want any trouble with him."

   Mumbles of "fine" and "I guess" could be heard throughout the crowd of girls at Thalia's explanation.

   "Good. Now time for assignments. Kaylee, Elizabeth and Mary take upper Gotham, Erin, Sonya and Lexi take the docks, Leah, Maris you'll be coming with me to check downtown Gotham the rest of you take the business district."

   As soon as Thalia was finished the girls separated and started heading out to their assignments for the night. Finally it was just Thalia, Leah and Maris left.

Maris and Leah were identical twin demigod daughters of Apollo. Both had blond hair and green eyes. The only way to tell them apart was by the fact that Maris always wore her hair in a braid where as Leah wore hers in a ponytail.

"Well come on, we have until dawn to track down these monsters." Said Thalia.

"Right, then let's get going." Said Maris as she started to jump roofs in the direction of the downtown of Gotham. Sometimes called Crime Alley.

3 hours earlier

"Hey Bruce! When does patrol start tonight?" called 7 year old Katie Grayson as she ran down the stairs of the Batcave.

"Katie I already told you." sighed Bruce Wayne better known as the Batman. "Until I catch the Joker Robin and Sparrow are suspended from patrol."

Katie and Dick had been asking the same question all night and had apparently developed hearing problems as soon as he told them that they couldn't go out that night.

"But Bruce!"

"No buts Katie. The Joker is far to dangerous."

"It's no fair." mumbled Katie as she trudged up the stairs."

10 minutes later surprisingly without any interruptions from Dick or Katie the Batman was ready to ambush the Joker. The Batmobile soared down the streets as Batman headed to the Jokers last known location. Crime Alley.

"It's so unfair Dick." Katie moaned from the couch in between Dicks listing of movies to chose from. "We should be helping Bruce bring down the Joker."
