Nico and the Gotham Ghost

The Invisible Weapon

Nico, Dick and Katie, now in costume as Robin and Sparrow, speed across Gotham city in the Batcycle. They were quickly closing in on Batmans signal and Nico could only hope they would run into something easy to deal with. But knowing even a little bit about the reputation of the Batman, Nico knew that this would have to be something pretty big for him to call for backup.

Nico finally rounded the last corner leaving only one building between them and Batman so that they could have the element of surprise in the upcoming fight. Nico and the Graysons hopped off the motorcycle and Nico signaled the two to come over.

"Now remember, you will let me handle the situation. You will not engage whoever or whatever Batman is fighting and you will stay out of sight unless I tell you to come out. Understand." Nico commanded.

"But Nico you don't have any weapons." Katie hissed, still confused about how her brother was supposed to fight without even a batrange.

"I told you Katie I do have a weapon on me."

"Where is it then?" Dick challenged, not wanting Nico to go into a fight without a weapon on him.

"We don't have time for this Dick, now come on, we need to head out to help Bruce." Nico said a he started to sneak over towards the other side of the building where the sounds of a fight could be heard.

"No. You need a weapon." Katie stated, staying where she was. "Show us your mysterious invisible weapon or you have to take mine or Robins utility belt."

"Katie I'm not taking your belt." Nico said slightly frustrated. "You need it to protect yourself."

"Then show us your weapon or else your taking my belt." Robin said, he had some how shifted between Nico and the path to the fight effectively blocking Nico's path unless of course Nico decided to shadow travel.

"Hades." Nico mumbled under his breath. "Fine all show you my weapon. "Nico turned to face both of the bats and reached behind his back to summon his stygian iron sword from the shadows. "Here it is, happy? Now we have to get going. Remember stay hidden and don't come out." he said as he pushed past the stunned Dick Grayson. 

Where had Nico been hiding that? Dick wondered

But before Nico could get around the corner they heard a BANG and heard someone, most likely a girl shout out the name of another girl called Maris.

Dick quickly tried to run around the corner to help while Katie thankfully stayed frozen to the spot.

"I said you would stay here Dick." Nico sternly whispered as he moved him closer to where Katie was. "I'm going to go out and see what is going on, but you two will stay here. Right Dick."

"Right." Dick said obviously ticked at Nico now.

Nico narrowed his eyes not convinced in the slightest by Dicks reply.

"Both of you stay here."

"Wait." he heard the small voice of his little sister say. "Be careful."

Nico gave her a quick reassuring hug and said. "I will."

With those last words Nico rounded the corner to a scene of pure chaos. He watched as a giant cyclops was attacked by the Batman and.......THALIA!!!! He had forgotten that Thalia had said that the huntresses where coming to Gotham that night! He also saw to the side two other girls who were both obviously huntresses if the silver clothing and bows and arrows where anything to go by. They where pretty much identical. Come to think of it they were probably twins, the own had obviously been shot as she was getting very pale and had blood dripping from her leg.
