Am not in the mood to prepare for our Christmas party tomorrow sooo update!
edit: Mum said it was getting late (11 PM, I had to wake up at 5 am) so I went to my room already but then only managed to sleep at 1 am (with lots of concentration) before I head off to some personal/school stuff, I'll finish this chapter! :D

"What made you do this?" Mabel asked, smelling the snowboarding jacket that Bill had just handed her. She couldn't help but smile. Awhile ago, she was freezing, and Bill was kind enough to give her a jacket.
Again—it was the same from the movies and shows she has watched. But the difference was, Bill just made this jacket fall from the sky, plummeting into the girl's face. Not your sweet kind of move, but at least he gave her a jacket.
That was nice.
Bill ignored her statement and continued floating. Mabel pursed her lips. They were getting deeper and deeper into the woods, and she didn't have a single clue on where they were heading to. Couldn't be bad, right? At least, that's what she hoped.
After more walks, Mabel grunted. Her feet were getting tired. Where was Bill taking her, exactly? A massacre spot long time ago? She hoped not. This—this forest—this place would be okay for her. The sky was smiling at them, with stars shining like diamonds. The clouds and the moon complimented each other perfectly.
Just like it could've complimented this night.
But they didn't stop walking. Bill never paid her attention, and Mabel started to grow impatient. "Um, Bill? Where are we going? 'Cause I have no time for your games." She crossed her arms and went beside him. "You're definitely ignoring me!"
"Am not," he finally replied.
Mabel rolled her eyes 360 degrees. "Well, now you aren't."
Bill's eyes glistened, as if he was amused by Mabel's comeback. It wasn't much, so the girl was confused by his actions. "We're almost near. You want me to carry you?"
Yes. But Mabel got a hold of herself. Bill? Carrying her? Nuh-uh, not on her wishlist, thank you very much. "I can handle myself. What do I look like—a damsel in distress?" She scoffed and looked away. Her feet were getting tired by all of this walking, she could've just went home.
"Nah, if you're tired, this night might be ruined," he suddenly blurted out, and before Mabel could even ask why, something felt unusual. She seemed to be in level with Bill, where in fact, Bill was always taller than her because he was always floating.
But what if she was floating also?
"Surprised?" He asked, and 'grinned' a bit. Mabel knew he was grinning, even for the fact that he didn't have a mouth.
She looked below her with eyes as wide as saucers. Bewilderment. She was afraid of heights, so her knees wobbled a little. Terrified, she "ran" towards Bill and hugged his elbow. She closed her eyes shut as a memory flashed back to her mind.
It was when she and her Grunkle Stan went up to the water tower; it almost collapsed when they were up there, and the experience was heck terrible, she could've been frightened to death. Now, here she was, being floated by a mindscape demon.
"Please let me down, please let me down," she whispered, her eyes now watering because of fear. Did Bill really know everything? If yes, then why was he doing this? Well, maybe because he was a demon, and demons do enjoy this kind of thing.
Fear. They enjoy the fear of humans, indulging its sweet negative vibe as if it was their dessert. Unfortunately, Mabel was hanging out with a demon.
Because of that thought, she hugged Bill's elbow tighter. Whatever might happen, she would not let go of his elbow. As of now, Mabel treated it like it was the most precious thing in the entire universe. An elbow of a demon. Her sort-of life-saver, perhaps.
Before a tear could even go across her cheek, she felt something. Grass. Because of excitement, she immediately opened her eyes and soon found out that they stopped floating. They stopped. They finally stopped.
"I–I... Bill... I..." She stammered, not sure with what to say. Should she scold him for making her float, or should she thank him for bringing her down? It was a difficult question, and even though she was heck smart, she didn't know what to do. "Y–You're—"
"Are you afraid of heights?" Bill cut her sentence.
Was it just Mabel, or was Bill wearing an expression of worry?
"Um, sorta. I–It's—It's a long story," she said and scratched her nape. "So, where are we off to? I'm getting impatient."
"Don't worry, Shooting Star"—he snapped his fingers—"We're already here! Emases nepo!"
With that, Mabel just noticed the huge entwined vines in front of them. They were gigantic and thick, nobody could even ignore it. Except for her, though. When Bill said whatever-that-was, it slowly parted, like the ones you would see at a movie; slow and dramatically. But then, they didn't have music.
Still, Mabel was in awe. As soon as it opened, she took a step forward, slowly peeking with what's inside. She heard the flowing of water, crickets, and just that, she was at peace. Also the fact that she smelled something fragrant—like the scent of Jasmine or Wisteria.
Without waiting for Bill, she decided to go inside.
