"Miss? Miss Castillo?"
"Huh?"
"We'd like to start the questioning now?"
"I don't really have a choice, do I?" The man in uniform shakes his head with a small smile.
The brunette sighs, "Go ahead, what do you want to know?"
"Why did you kill those men?"
"It's a long story."
The man looks at the watch on his left wrist. "Well looks like you're going to be in here for a while so why don't you start from the beginning."
"Well, it started a couple of years ago."
"What started, the killings? Had you killed people before?"
"No... well yes but that's not what I'm trying to say. Can you just let me tell the story?" He puts his hands up in surrender then gestured for her to continue on. "Right, like I said it started a couple of years ago..."
2 Years Ago
"Are you sure you want to go out?"
"Nor, I'm fine. What I need most right now are some food, my best friend, and fresh air." It was as if nothing had even happened earlier that morning. They didn't talk about it at all. Trying their best to avoid it actually.
"Well, if you insist. There's this new diner in town that I've been dying to try. I heard they serve good breakfast."
Smiling the girl goes to grab her stuff, "I hear the owner is pretty good-looking too."
"Eh, she's alright." The blonde says with a huge grin on her face.
"Alright? She's more than just alright. Is this hate I hear?" The brunette responds laughing while grabbing her purse, giving the dog some water, and walking out the front door.
Her friend grabbed her belongings as well and locked the door behind them. "Hate? You know I love you."
"Yeah yeah, I know. Come on let's get a move on it."
As they start walking from their apartment complex to the diner, Nora got a call. "Hey babe, what's up?"
The brunette gave her a look but didn't speak and kept walking.
"Um no I thought you took care of it.... hey don't worry about it we'll get it sorted out... yeah alright, love you too?" The blonde sighed and ran a hand through her hair.
