"Ow!" He growled out, holding his nose. As soon as he let go of me, I punched him. I have too admit that it was one of the best shots I've ever given, but I haven't given many.
I scrambled around my room, looking for something to bind him or knock him out with. He suddenly got up off the floor and quickly came at me. I realized that I made a grave mistake, never let your opponent cage you in. Since I was in the corner, he had done just that.
He was staring at me, a pained look in his eyes. "I'm so, so sorry for how much trouble I have caused you. But, please don't let them know that I'm here. It would be bad for you as well, since they can't see me, like you can." He confused me. What is he? A ghost?
Fine, I'll take the bait. "What are you talking about? What do you mean, "They can't see me"? He stopped coming close by now, not that I really noticed. My curiosity getting the better of me and my lack of training in controlling my thoughts.
"I cannot tell you...yet. There are many things that I need to finish. Things that you won't understand. I know you don't understand or even know who I am. But, I need to do this."
"Please, just leave. You're confusing me! I swear that if you don't get out of this house right now, I'll scream and someone is gonna hear me." I threatened him, knowing that everyone is waiting downstairs and he had a time limit.
"I know, I know!" He looked frustrated. He put his hands on his head and pulled at his scalp.
"I-You just looked so upset and frightened. I couldn't let you keep feeling like that, tormenting you. I promise, I'll stop it. Just...please give me some time. I've had so much pain locked away and I need to release it." I stand straighter now. I don't think he will hurt me, but you never know.
"I need to go, and so do you. I don't trust you, but I'm curious enough by this strange situation. You realize that any normal person who found someone in their room and had been grabbed by the, would be screaming and fighting to get away from you, right?" So, why the hell am I not doing the same?
"I do know this. I'm hoping you will talk with me later, when I can tell you and help you understand. It will be hard to believe, but I'm hopeful. I promise that you will know everything about me and why I'm here. Please, just let me stay here until you return and we talk. I have no where else to go." He had puppy-dog eyes going on, I'm a sucker for those. Especially, his light blue eyes. I've never seen eyes that make me feel so strange and unknown.
I hear someone coming up the steps towards my room. "Anna! We need to go before the place closes! You've been up here for ten minutes and I know that you don't care about make-up and crap, so what the heck are you doing. I swear, if you've been kidnapped by some psycho..." Scotty was calling out to me. I quickly looked towards the man who still has not identified himself.
"Okay, just please hide until we leave. When I return, we will talk about this. If I don't agree to whatever this is, you will need to leave immediately. What is your name?" I quickly moved him towards my bathroom.
"Wilson, Daniel Wilson." He tried to put his hand out to shake but I already pushed him in the bathroom.
"I'm Anna. Nice meeting you. I need to go." I shut the door and gathered my stuff.
I walked down the steps quickly and came across everyone in the front doorway. They all gave me annoyed looks. "Sorry, I had to finish something real quick and it took longer than expected."
"What was it? It must have been important if you took that long." Silla gave me a curious look.
"Don't worry about it. So, if it takes thirty minutes to get there, and they close at 8:00PM, we only have six hours to have fun. Let's go!"
They walked along the driveway to their huge SUV and we climbed in and went on our way.
