i don't remember much now.
the new winter is approaching.
the leaves are dead beneath my paws.
my coat is thick and stomach full.
we are hunting as much as we can before the frost comes.
some prey we keep.
most prey we eat.
now, prince and i are home.
he calls me princess.
i always called him prince.
we have no other names now.
our old lives are gone.
we are wolves.
i can see that he is a complete wolf.
i still remember some things.
my golden brother.
my father.
my mother.
my dagger.
we still have it.
deep within our cave.
sometimes we look at it.
prince's reflection is a wolf.
mine is still the girl i used to be.
she's fading.
i don't remember her name.
her friends.
anything.
just the fact that she's me.
but, i'm still the princess.
the princess of wolves.
