Chapter 23

It was Katie. Before anyone could move. She started shooting. "You thought you was gon get married to another bitch?" The shots kept coming. I hind behind a stand that was on the stage. I didn't see Jay anywhere. "You broke my heart Jay!", Katie yelled. All I kept thinking about was Jay and where she could be.

Why is this happening on my wedding day? Why couldn't this bitch just leave us alone. That shit happened 7 years ago. "I should've killed you bitches that night.", Katie yelled. I looked over and seen someone calling the police. I seen Katie looking holding two ak-47s in her hand. It looked like she was high off something. I just sat there crying and hoping Jay was ok. I didn't want her to find me. The shooting lasted for 15 mins.

"Put the guns down!", an officer yelled. Katie turned around and saw a crowd of cops outside the church door. I looked over the stand to see what was going to happen next. "She broke my heart.", Katie said while crying. "Put the guns down!", the officer yelled again. "Fuck you!", Katie said while shooting threw the door. I ducked behind the stand. All I heard were gun shots.

Then there was a dead silence. When I peaked over the stand I seen Katie laying there in her own blood. The church was a mess. Some people were dead and some were alive. "She's down!", an officer yelled.

When I came from behind the stand I seen some that broke my heart forever. Jay dead with a bullet hole in the middle of her forehead. I ran over there to her and cried. Toya came from behind the stage and comfort me. "Oh my god, Rose. I am so sorry." The officers came in to check the people.

I wanted to die so bad. I felt my heart in my stomach. I couldn't stop crying. An officer came over there and picked me up. I will never forget this day. "It's going to be ok.", the officer said while wrapping a blanket across my back. I had blood on me but it wasn't mine. It was Jay's. I didn't stop crying for the rest of that day.
