Chapter 22

When I woke up the next morning I heard the news on tv. "There was a shooting last night. There were 5 males found dead. The owner of the home was identified as Chris Holmes. Investigators haven't found any DNA or evidence. They're still looking to see who was in this massive shootout."

"Toya come look at this.", I said. "They won't find out cause the bullets don't have fingerprints on them.", Toya said. "I'm scared.", I said. "Don't be.", she said. "I'm headed out to go get Jay. Y'all coming?", Dee asked. I grabbed my purse and we headed out the door.

When we got to the hospital I seen a police car. "Oh my god. Do y'all think they are in there questioning Jay?", I asked. "I don't know Im bout to go see. Y'all stay in here", Dee said.

As she walked in the hospital the officer walked right passed her. I kind of figured the cops wasn't there for Jay.

(30mins later)

I seen Jay and Dee walking out he hospital. Before she could come to the car I jumped out and ran to her. "Baby!", I yelled while hugging her tight. "Hey baby." "Did the cops question you?", I asked. "No. that was for somebody else."

When we got to Dee's house Jay wanted me to drive back to her house. "Ok see y'all.", I said while helping Jay into the car.

When we got to the house Jay asked me a question. "You my girl?" "Yes.", I replied. "Stay with me.",she demanded. "I am staying." "No, I'm talking about live with me." "I was gonna do that anyway.", I said. She smiled and I helped her into the house.

(4 years later)

"I can't believe we bout to get married.", I said to Toya. "I know right.", Toya said.

We been together for 4 years now and it's been an amazing 4 years. Jay has actually changed into the woman I knew she would be. Today is our wedding day and I can't wait to marry the love of my life.

"You wearing this necklace?", Toya asked. "Yes. It match my dress." As I stand in the mirror looking at myself, I couldn't believe I was bout to get married to a woman. I never thought in my life I would marry a woman. "Ok it's time for you to go out.", said Toya.

I walked out in the aisle. There wasn't really a lot of people there because I wanted a private wedding. Just a couple of Toya's friends and family. A little of Jay's and mine. I stood there waiting for Jay to come out. The music was playing and I felt myself almost about to cry.

When she came out, I smiled so hard. She was so fine. When she stood in front of me my heart started pounding.

"And do you, Rose take Jay as your...". Before he could finish a loud bomb came from the Church door. I couldn't believe my eyes.
