"Tomorrow is the last day for us together." I tell Ryan. It's currently 6:30 at night. We've spent the day growing closer and closer.

"It won't be." He says and smiles at me.

"And you know this because?" I ask.

"Trust me." He says and hugs me. I hug him back.

"Backyardigans?" I ask him, grinning evilly.

"Couldn't of said it better." He smiles back. The theme song then comes on and my gaze heads towards the TV. Yet, I still feel eyes on me. I turn my head and see him have an awkward smile upon his face. I laugh and turn my gaze back to the TV.

"Everly!" Kie runs, slides, falls into the wall, and slowly goes down to the ground. She stands up and runs back to me. I look over at Ryan to see him holding in a laugh.

"You good?" I ask her, chuckling. She sends me a glare.

"No. My butt hurts, but that's not what I came here to tell you." She takes a deep breath.

"Well, please, spill." I smile at her.

"Chevy is back from her little day off. Act like your doing something. I hear her heels." She says, throws me a wet rag and dish soap, and runs the opposite way. I throw myself off he couch onto the floor and pour the dish soap on the ground.

"Why are you just now getting to your chores?" I hear her ear bleeding voice ring through the air.

"I did the dishes." I tell more to myself than anyone else in the room. I look up at her to see her not looking at me, but to Ryan.

"She's not lying. She just got in here with cleaning supplies. I asked her what she was doing and she said she just got done with the dishes." Ryan lies with me. I take a mental note to hug him after she leaves.

"Whatever, I got work to do. I want these spotless, Everly. I won't take anything under it. And why is your brother not here?" She asks me. I look up at her with wide eyes. Why isn't Caleb here?

"What are you talking about? I was filling up the bird feeder." Caleb walks in. I sigh and give him a glare. He sends me a small smile.

"Help out your sister, Caleb." Ms. Chevy states and clicks her way out of the living room. I released a breath that I didn't even know I had kept. I rest my back on the couch as I feel some one get up. I look over at Ryan to see him take the rag from Caleb and puts some dish soap on the floor. I furrow my eyebrows as he starts scrubbing the floor.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm helping you guys out."

"Oh. Sounds good." I reply. He laughs and continues to scrub.

"Dang." I say while he's getting ready to leave.

"What? You gonna miss me?" He smirks.

"No. Nothing like that. I forgot to record the backyardigans episode." I sigh. "There's always one tomorrow."

"Well, not if the show gets canceled." He smiles. I gasp and playfully hit him in the arm.

"Don't think negative now, Ryan." Kie says. Caleb walks in behind her eating an apple.

"Since when do you eat apples?" I ask him. He rolls his eyes and hands me a cup.

"I got you something to drink." Caleb says.

"It's not poisoned?"

"Might be." He shrugs. My mouth falls open while everyone laughs. "I'm kidding, sis."

"You better be." I mumble. I take a sip. I think for a moment of what it could be. "Tea?" I ask.  He nods his head slowly while smiling. I take another sip and sit the cup down. Ryan's parents come out, followed by Ms. Chevy.

"What are all you kids doing here? Go!" She yells. I roll my eyes.

"Bye, Ryan. See you tomorrow." I whisper.

"Bye." He whispers back.
