EDITEDI finish washing my hands in a jiffy. I wonder what other things we could do today. I walk out the swinging doors of the ladies room and come out to find the boys looking at an old man weirdly.
Oh no, please tell me Tristan didn't start something with another old person. Quickly, I make my way to them. None of them even notice me and there's this weird atmosphere around them all. Oh man, if this is another one of his great aunt episodes except with a great uncle, I think I need to have a serious talk with him on how to treat others no matter how unrelated they are to you.
"You guys okay?" both boys immediately stand closer to me and say "yes" at the same time. I nod slowly not really sure what to make of this situation.
I peer over their sides to the old man and he immediately smiles at me, "don't get lost in this sea of imbeciles, darling. Sometimes they get so caught up in their own business than to care about another's." I nod my head to him, I think I understand what he's saying but I don't really understand how it pertains to this moment and why the boys look about ready to strangle him.
"Dillon? Tristan?" I call to them. They both look down at me.
"Yes Senna?" Tristan asks with a new smile on his face.
"Can we go now?
"Sure thing, babe." Before Tristan can take my hand, Dillon catches my left and starts dragging me with him to the exit.
I huff after him, his legs too long for a shortie like me to keep up. "Dillon," panting breathlessly already. Why in the world is he walking so fast? We even left Tristan inside.
He opens my door for me and turns to glare...at me. I shrink back from his stare and just stand there with my head down. Are friends suppose to drag you around and glare at you as if you're not where you're suppose to be? I don't remember Sarah saying anything specifically about it but it does feel wrong.
I feel his warm strong hands grasp mine, I pull back instinctively. Friends aren't suppose to make other friends feel worthless, I think to myself. My actions catch up to me quick though and I look up shocked because I just pushed the boy of my dreams away from me. For three years, it was always set it my head that if I had the chance, I would literally run with open arms to him. But here I was, pushing him away from me. Then I remember why.
"I don't like it when you do that." I stomp my foot and cross my arms while giving him the best glare I own.
He doesn't answer me, he just stands there staring down at me. Slowly he lifts his beefy arms to mimic my crossed ones, and I almost drool at the sight. Who knew arm muscles could seem so....great.
No.
"I don't like what you just did." he raises an eyebrow making me gulp down some of my pride. Seriously, what is up with him? Doesn't he know how...what's that word that I hear girls my age use? Hot? Sexy? Both?
I look away from his face and stare at his chest. Less eye contact, the better. "I don't like you dragging me around or picking me up like I'm a rag doll." granted he did carry me to save me from the crazy lady but he did call me stupid too. "And I don't like you calling me stupid. My name is not stupid and neither is my brain. Its Senna."
I smile up at him, finally willing to meet his gorgeous eyes. "Senna Roy," I stick out my right hand just like PaJa taught me, "and I would love to be friends with you, Dillon McCoy, but you have to learn how to treat your friends right first."
