Hi people. I just wanted to thank you. I REACHED 1,000 READS!!! I can't even begin to describe what I'm feeling. You guys are just. Awesome. :)

Warm, soft sand spills in between my toes as I walk over to the figure sitting close to the water. As I get closer, I realize that the figure is none other than Zach. I walk towards him, and look to where he was looking.

"Zach? Uh, hello? Earth to Zach," I mumble. He sits there, fixed in his position as if he were a statue. I wave my hands in front of his face. Nothing. Nudging him in the arm, I realize he wasn't moving at all. I decide to leave Zach, thinking it was just a bizarre joke. Inching toward the water, I see it wasn't moving at all. Not even the slightest bit.

I glance toward the water, and (of course) there was Luke, riding a surfboard on a wave that was stuck in midair. I freeze, unaware of what was happening. Suddenly, a loud alarm began to sound over the area and the wind began to blow fiercely. BOOOOP. BOOOOOP. BOOOP.

BEEEP. BEEEP. BEEEEEEP.

My eyes jolt open, and I slam my alarm clock. I rub my eyes, which refuse to close because of my contacts. I had forgotten to take off my contacts, since I came home and literally fell asleep immediately. I drag myself out of bed, and scrunch my nose. Sniffing, my feet find their way into my slippers leading me down the stairs. I follow the scent into the kitchen where my aunt is cooking up breakfast.

"I'll have a bacon and cheese omelet with some chopped tomatoes please," I state in my best British accent. My aunt turns to me and glares, causing me to erupt in a fit of giggles.

"As you wish, madam," she responds in a spot on impression of a British accent. A low growl erupts from below the counter, causing us both to laugh hysterically. I rub my stomach sarcastically as she puts food on a plate. The plate in her hand had barely touched the countertop before I began digging in, satisfying my stomach. I scoop up the last of the omelet and stuff it into my overfilled mouth.

"Thanks for the delicious breakfast, Aunt Beth!" I say while trying to swallow my food. My aunt chuckles and I run back upstairs to get dressed. I put on a blue and orange swim suit under a neon orange floral lace cover-up. I put my hair up into a sloppy bun and secure it as best as I can. Leaving my room, I grab my swim bag filled with everything I need, and slide my flip flops on ready for today.

"And where are you going my dear?" Aunt Beth asked. I smile, pulling my sunglasses out of my bag.

"I'm planning to tan. I'm in California, might as well get tan while we're at it, right?" I joke. "I'm gonna get Riley to come with me to the beach," I explain.

"Oh, okay. Here's some money for lunch if you want to eat with Riley? If not, come home and I can whip up something for the two of you," she offers. I gladly accept the money and assure her I will follow all of her rules. Giving her a quick kiss on the cheek, I skip out the back door and head down the boardwalk until I see Riley, waiting for me, just as we had planned. See, after the "fun" events of last night, Riley offered that we go to the beach to relax and unwind, which I very happily accepted.

"Brayce!! We are going to have so much fun! We're going to tan, swim, jump waves," she shrilled, looking into the sky, flexing her fingers when naming each thing. "Oh! And I want to surf!" I stop dead in my tracks.

"Surf? You can do that. Surfing's not really my thing," I choke. I swallow and look towards the beach. She gives me a look that plainly reads "As if" and pulls me in the direction of the beach. Woah. De ja vu. "Anyway, where's Zach? I thought you said he was going to be here."
