The sound of her leather clad boots clicking against the tile was the only noise to be heard as she raced her way down the empty halls. That, and the slightly heavy breaths she puffed out due to exertion.

Camila wasn't going to be late. It wasn't an option, wasn't a possibility to be opened to at this point in time. She had a pre-calculus test to get to for fucks sake; whatever all knowing being that looked after the world should be helping her along. She was a good kid, she deserved a bit of a break every now and then.

Her chestnut hair was fluttering behind her, the carefully styled waves shaking out, much to Camila's aggravated dismay.

It wasn't her fault she was late. She hadn't exactly planned to hit every red light on the way to school. The only explanation for such events was the simple fact that the world was set on ruining her day. This 'all knowing being' was starting to look like a prick.

She caught herself cursing at the imaginative being and gave her mind a mental shake, turning her thoughts over to something that might actually be of some assistance. Like Matrix Inverses and- whatever the hell those were. She was screwed.

Then, just as Camila caught herself drifting away into her thoughts for a second time, her running was halted. Was it because she had reached Mr. Leigh's classroom? No, of course it wasn't, that would've ended the-all-knowing-prick's amusement much too soon. Camila's body had collided into something, but judging by the groan her obstacle gave off, this something was likely a someone.

Her blue eyes flickered up from where she sat on the floor to address an inquisitive pair of green ones, who of course, was still standing. Unharmed. Camila had to admit she was tempted to change that last bit.

His voice was rumbly, much too deep and syrupy for someone of his age and appearance.

"Are you alright?"

The question was simple enough, much like its answer. No, no she was not alright. Her ass stung and now she was undoubtedly going to be late.

With the chance of making it to her first period class tossed out the window, Camila thought it was only fair she vocalize her concerns. And after scrunching her face up in distaste, she did just that.

"No, actually. I was just knocked to the floor by some curly-haired bafoon with the voice of a forty year old smoker. So I wouldn't exactly consider 'alright' as an apt word for describing how I am at this moment"

Camila huffed out as she moved to her feet. The boys face contorted from confusion to slight annoyance as he processed her words.

"I didn't mean to run into you, Jesus", he paused, his eyebrows furrowing before he added with an accusing tone, "and I'm pretty sure it was you that ran into me"

Camila was on her feet now, brushing a hand down her dark jeans and across the fabric of the cream sweater draped over her shoulders. She took a slight moment to take in the appearance of the boy in front of her, her gaze flowing up his body. He had legs for days, with tightly-clad jeans wrapped around them. His torso was also of a ridiculous length, seemingly never-ending as her eyes raked up the plain white t-shirt that hung low on his shoulders. The boys face was equally disproportionate, with his large features taking up the entire expanse of his face. His eyes were an entrancing green, while his nose sat large and proud in the middle of his face. The boys lips had to be covered in some amount of lipstick, there was no way anyone's lips could be such a rosy red. Camila moved her gaze up to the boyish curls atop his head as she heard an awkward cough rumble from his chest.

The brunette girls face scrunched up in the slightest, her pink lips pursing in irritation as she raised an unamused eyebrow.

"Excuse me? Was I the one standing in the middle of the damn hallway?"

Her tone was a perfect mix of faux innocence and condescension, she mentally patted herself on the back.

"No, actually. You were the one barreling through the hallways like this was an olyimpic track meet"

His crimson lips curled to a victorious grin as he eyed Camila down. She let out an indignant huff in return, which only caused the boys smirk to widen. Camila didn't lose arguments. Especially where sarcasm was the main attack. She was one of the most well known and intimidating girls in school, she knew how to stand her ground; yet here barges in some lanky boy with too big features and pigeon toed feet, telling her off and leaving her without a response.

"You can fuck right off, how about that"

She gave a curtsy, one of her hands held up to flip him off as she flashed a sugary sweet smile and pushed past the all too cocky boy.
