I couldn't handle the curious and accusing eyes focussing intently on me like I was a new species or worse-someone trying to gather attention. Nobody would believe that my eyes were actually purple, that's like someone believing in aliens it's just not going to happen.

So I complained to Mr Hunt whilst shielding my eyes from his view that I had an unbearable headache and needed to go to the infirmary right away, which wasn't entirely fake either my head seemed to be buzzing-probably from the fear brought upon my body.

Stupid Jenny and her need to show off.

I walked through the now empty hallway as students were all in class, my trainers squeaking against the tiles causing the sound to penetrate through the silence around me.

I could walk right out the doors of the school and no one would notice, well not until they called my mum of my absence.. which would in turn give the school another reason to kick me out-skipping class.

I pouted and emitted a noise of annoyance. You know what I'll just chill in the bathroom until the block ends.

I shuffled into the bathroom humming the tune to On top of the world by Imagine dragons-nearly just about to start singing it like the amazing singer I am when I noticed I wasn't alone at my one person concert.

Haley stood in front of the mirror applying lipgloss to her lips. I scrunched up my nose in discontent, she was doing the most girly thing you could do during school-put on makeup. She hadn't noticed my appearance yet so I skimmed my eyes over her ever so lovely outfit-not, it screamed bimbo with her too short mini skirt and size too small singlet. This was definitely not the Haley I knew a few days ago.

I timidly stepped closer into the room, I could go unnoticed If I made a dash to one of the many cubicles. She doesn't make any great attempts to talk to me so why should I. I bit my lip contemplating on whether I should run to the cubicle or just leave ,but before I made a decision a voice filled the air making my body tense.

"Uh..Hey Ally" Haley awkwardly greeted me, her body facing towards me.

The awkward tension rose in the room as Haley all too clearly stared at me. She's probably thinking the same as everyone else. I scowled at her.

"Would you stop staring at me?" I muttered, annoyance dripping off my words. I crossed my arms in front of my chest to express more clearly how I felt at this given moment in time, not that my facials weren't enough.

She quickly looked elsewhere scratching at her head. She looked up again and opened her mouth before closing it as if she were imitating a goldfish, obviously she was trying to tell me something so I waited. When she spoke it was at such a speed that it was hardly interpretable.

"Look, I'm sorry Ally It's not my fault I haven't talked to you.. Jenny and the other girls were making me stay away from you and I feel really bad but I couldn't stop them and I'm sorry-for-being-a-bitch" she spluttered her dolled up eyes wide with sincerity.

She moved forward suddenly and without warning hugged me tightly like her life depended on it, man I miss these hugs. I could tell she meant what she said.

We broke apart and I smiled slightly

"Yeah, you were being a bitch" I declared.

She rolled her eyes and snickered "That's seriously all you heard out of that?"

"Yep" I said popping the 'p'

She nudged me in my side making me flinch slightly and whispered

"Don't worry, I still think their a bunch of airheads"

I laughed.

Maybe Haley still exists after all.
