A soft breeze lifted my soft curls off my back as I now stood outside of the school in the car filled parking lot, not a student in sight. Aaron is a senior so he has liabilities, one of which involves driving a car-which is why I'm not in class at this exact moment.
Aaron felt the need to discuss what I didn't know by the ways of a car trip, which of course I dismissed the lousy idea straight away-there is no way I'm getting a phone call home two days in a row. I was trying to make a good impression today and at the moment things aren't exactly working in my favour, like apparently doing something which is for some unknown reason-a crime.
I placed both of my hands on my hips as I observed an amused looking Aaron sitting in the drivers seat, drumming his fingers delicately on the steering wheel.
"It's fine Ally, just get in the car so we can go" he said slightly frustrated, gesturing to the seat beside him dramatically.
I cocked my head to the side "Why can't we just stay here and talk? I mean then we both won't get into trouble" I pointed out.
Aaron snickered "You are such a goody good! Look, I have everything under control nobody thinks we have left. Trust me" he smiled, a mysterious twinkle in his eyes.
I gave one final sweep of the car park to check that's it's clear-which it was, and huffed "Fine" I reluctantly trudged over to the other side of the car and made my way inside.
Aaron made a small fist pump into the air when I landed on the seat, the foam inside deflating like a pillow. I couldn't help it when a small grin spread across my face, what a weirdo.
Now, I know going into some guys car that you only just really met may seem kind of weird but, I want answers and for some reason I feel oddly comfortable around Aaron.
He pulled out of the parking lot and settled into his seat as we hit the road. His car wasn't what you'd call big but it was cozy. It smelt of, well as simply as you could put it-a guy. Not too bad at all. I glanced at the digital clock in the car, It was now 11am and the sun was shining brightly upon us, adding a happy glow to the streets we passed through.
"So, where we heading?" I asked while I looked out the window, gazing at all the fancy houses that seemed to be in the area.
"I thought I'd bring us somewhere where I go to think every now and then" he replied casually.
I didn't reply and instead let all the unanswered questions run through my jumbled up mind. Why have I never seen anyone with purple eyes before? Why is it something that I need to hide? Those were my top questions which I so urgently wished to ask Aaron; and I would.
The car came to a sudden stop and I blinked rapidly for a few seconds coming out of the daydream like state which I had been in, time must have passed quickly without me noticing.
I swirled around in my seat at the sound of a door slamming and found Aaron walking hurriedly over to my side of the car. Is he going to open my door for me? I grinned as he did just that, waving his arm to the side.
"M'lady" he said politely beckoning me out. Could he get any more cornier.
I jumped out landing gracefully onto the soft grass and smacked him lightly on the head wrecking his act of chivalry-and his perfectly styled hair.
"Thanks bud!" I said, and smiled in triumph at his shocked expression.
I viewed my surroundings and saw we were at a park that had to be in the middle of a neighbourhood, there was a set of swings that were gently moving in the wind as if invisible hands were pushing them. It was your typical park, a large expanse of land and many large trees towering around and over it.
