the impossible was possible (My Chemical Romance fanfic)

I can't believe this!  Today is the first day starting at West Chester High School. I'm dreading it already as I'm running down my driveway to get on the bus because I'm stupid and didn't wake up on time. Just my luck. Stepping on the bus really didn't help the bad mood I was already in. The bus was filled with kids and had no empty seats, so I decided to sit with a girl with her long brunette hair throwin up into a high ponytail and a light tan over coat to cover up her tank top. When I sat down, I noticed that she had headphones in, and me being the curious bitch I am, I decided to tap her on the shoulder "hey whatcha listening to?" She turned to face me with a look that looked a bit surprised to say the least. She took one of her headphones out "oh, this band called My Chemical Romance, wanna listen?" she asked with a nice tone to her voice. she handed me the right headphone and I slid it into my ear getting a blast of music. The band was pretty good, and by good, I mean great! "What song is this?" I questioned with a slight crack to my voice. "Oh it's 'Welcome to the Black Parade' it's my favorite" she responded quickly.  "oh, my name is Lyra, what's yours?" she asked. "I'm Melissa,  Mel for short, I'm the new girl.." I said facing down at the floor of my mentioning of being the new girl. "Cool" Lyra said with sweetness in her voice. I looked up to stare at her. How can such nice girl be listening to a band like them. And as if reading my mind she turned to me and said with a smile"I just like a different kind of music." The rest of the bus ride we spent listening to My Chemical Romance...

I finally got to school and Lyra and I went our separate ways. I managed to find the right doors inside and get to the office to find my schedule. "okay dear, if you need help finding a class just ask one of students, okay?" the lady at the office said with an emotionless tone to her voice. I quickly walked to the door to exit the office when I hear the bell for first hour ring. Okay the first thing on my schedule is... study hall? Weird that be a first hour class. Well I guess if people didn't get homework done it's a good class for first hour. I walked swiftly through the halls trying not to get ran over by the teenagers roaming the halls, quite quickly I might add. Finding the room wasn't that hard after I passes it around 10 times. I walked through the open door just as the bell rang again. I looked around the class to see my seating options when I see Lyra by the back with her headphones in again. I quickly move to the table she was sitting at. "hey, can I sit here?" I ask sounded a little too eager. Lyra ,without looking up from the paper she was drawing on, nodded and  pulled the chair out so I could sit. "wanna listen?" she asked holding on to the right headphone just like on the bus. I quickly took the headphone and slid it into my ear hearing the blast of music going through my ear. "Hey Lyra, what song is this?" trying to sound interested. "oh.. it's 'Dead!'" she said without looking up from the paper. I looked down at it to see was she was drawing and it was a stick figure drawing of her and a guy she labled as Frank. "Who is Frank? Is he like your boyfriend?" I asked. "I wish! He's the lead guitarist of My Chem!!" she said with excitement in her voice. "Can you teach me about them?" I asked. "Sure!!" she responded. so for the next 45 minute she taught me everything about the band My Chemical Romance.

"So who's your favorite?" Lyra asked a little exhausted from talking. "Well, I like Gerard. I mean who wouldn't like a sassy diva!" I said doing one of Gerard's sassy poses. Lyra started to laugh "Well I'm a Frank fan myself" she said doing Frank's wide grin. The bell rang and that meant it was time for history... great.

Lucky me, history was right next door. When I walked in and took my seat, the loudspeaker did that annoying *BEEP BEEP* "Um I'm pleased to inform you" the lady on the loudspeaker said obviously trying to hold back excitement. "That the band My Chemical Romance will be attending our High School! Now they demand to be treated like normal students, and that's how it's going to be. That will be all" Wait.. MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE WILL BE GOING TO MY SCHOOL!!!!!!!! A grin starts to form on my face as I think about Gerard, Frank, Mikey and Ray going to this school. My thoughts about them were suddenly broken when I see Gerard Way walk through the door and sit by... ME!!! 'Hold back from fangirling'  I silently chant to myself as he flips his black hair back. "Hey, I'm Gerard" he says to me. OH MY GOD HE'S TALKING TO ME!! 'Act cool' I told myself. "Well I kind of knew that already, but my name's Melissa, Mel for short" I say trying to hold back excitement. "I should have guessed that, well Mel, I think we should be friends. I mean your the only girl who hasn't lost there head over me yet." he said in his beautiful deep voice. "Sure" I responded a little to quickly. 'Shit!! He probably already thinks your some sort of fangirl!' I say to myself, blushing at that fact I just embarrassed myself infront of Gerard Way. "You blushing" he pointed out."No, it's just that it's really warm in here" I say trying not to be hesitant. The bell rings and the teacher started to teach, but I wasn't paying attention to much because I was staring at Gerard..
