Jacob brought his fathers truck. He parked it with the tail gate hanging open facing the large screen. We all piled in the back, cuddling up with the many blankets and pillows we brought. I was currently sitting against the cab of the truck with Clay and Tessa on either side of me. Cody returned before I noticed he was gone handing me a package of gummy bears.
"For being snappy in the car" I met his eyes and couldn't help but smile. I thanked him before popping one in my mouth.
"Forgiven?"
"For now" I smiled. He laughed. If only he knew how serious I was. He slid in between Clay and I. I would let it go this time.

Sometime through out the movie I fell asleep. I was sitting up straight with my head on Cody's shoulder. I woke- shivering.
"I'll grab your sweater" Cody's voice rippled through my thoughts. He kissed my cheek before sliding off the end of the truck and running back to the car.
"You're cold?" Clay asked. We were no longer separated by Cody and I could see he was huddled up in the left corner. I nodded wrapping my trembling arms around myself. He held his arm out leaving me to sit in the corner with him. Sliding over, I let my my head fall in place on his shoulder. I quickly realized it was much less boney than Cody's.
I couldn't help but find the smallest things to compare in them. Cody was slightly shorter than Clay which was nice in a way, not making me feel short all of the time. But the way Clay towered over me would always make me feel safe, and warm. I quickly realized Cody would be returning any minute and he definitely wouldn't be pleased to find me wrapped up with Clay. But being selfish as I was, I was about to get him in more trouble. I looked up at him for a moment before leaning up to whisper to him.
"Please don't let him move me" the look that crossed his face was not bewilderment, anger, or confusion. He didn't even seem fazed. Just... Pleased. It was just another moment when I realized how stupid and ungrateful I was being. He was here, sticking it out and he wanted me.
"Just pretend you're asleep" he whispered back swinging my legs onto his lap and wrapped a blanket over my shoulders. I placed my head back on his shoulder and as if on cue Tessa smiled at me. I shyly smiled back. She looked between the both of us before smiling a little more an intertwining her fingers with Carson's. He smiled down at her before looking at us and kissing her forehead. I shut my eyes when I heard Cody joined us on the truck bed. I felt it rock as he sat down.
"I can take her now" he said placing his hand around my waist, between Clay and I. Clay moved his arm down a little and Cody removed his hand.
"It's fine I have her" he said, we both knew he wasn't about to let it go at that though.
"She wanted her sweater, she said she was cold" he complained.
"You didn't even bring it"
"I couldn't find it, but, still, I can keep her warm"
"And so can I" Clay countered back. "She's tired. Just let her sleep." Cody sighed and stuttered, but I figured I'd help Clay out. I mumbled, still pretending to sleep and wrapped my arms around him a little tighter. "Shhh, it's alright. Sleep angel" he whispered just loud enough. Cody finally gave up.
