"Wake up, (y/n)! Wake up," a voice yelled as they shook me awake.

I groaned in response, flipping over on my stomach. "Later," I moaned, trying my best to fall asleep again.

Slivers of sunlight slipped through the shut blinds and shined above the bed, preventing me from enjoying my slumber. I cracked my right eye open to see an unfamiliar change of scenery. The closet was to the left beside the small television set and a blond was staring directly at me.

"No, not later," Artemis shook my shoulders for a second time. "Today's the day! Today's the big day! Your big day!"

It took a couple of seconds for her words to register in my brain before I shot up, ripping the blankets off of me, and jetted toward the bathroom down the hall. "Today's the day," I chanted as I raced through her apartment.

She met me in the bathroom. "Take a shower and get into some casual clothes," she ordered. "Then, we're heading to the marina!" Artemis whooped while she walked off in the direction of the kitchen. I took her advice and showered.

As the scorching hot water stung my back, my stomach wouldn't sit still. You'd think it was an acrobat with how many flips it was doing. I inhaled and exhaled calmly, trying to pacify my breathing, but there's no way I could calm myself now.

Three months have gone by since he proposed. Today was the day that I was marrying Dick Grayson. Today was the day that I was marrying the love of my life.

I grabbed the soap, washing and rinsing after running the shampoo and conditioner through my hair, but I guess I was taking too long because Artemis shouted, "Hurry up! We're leaving in ten minutes!"

God, I thought. Ten minutes?

I quickly shut off the water and stepped out, wrapping a towel around my chest to droop over my body. Another towel, though smaller and thinner, was wringing my hair, drying it slowly. But today, I couldn't do slowly.

Footsteps approached the bathroom door followed by a light knock. "Here, I brought you some clothes," Artemis said as she left the door slightly ajar, slipping a navy blue tank top and a pair of light jeans along with the usual lingerie through the crack. I thanked her, sliding on the jeans first before pulling the tank top over my head. I brushed my teeth, leaving my hair and face a mess. That'll come later. "You almost done?" She asked, earning a hoarse 'yes' from me. "Let's go!"

We ran out to her white, two-seater truck. I climbed into the passenger seat, strapping the seat belt with shaky hands. I was nervous. Who wasn't on their wedding day? Though, I still don't understand why Dick wanted to plan it so soon. Artemis drove for around thirty minutes, entering the freeway through the on-ramp and eventually exiting about two or three times. Trees and other cars passed, but I was too consumed by my own thoughts to pay any attention.

"Finally," Cassandra, Wonder Girl, exhaled in relief as she helped us out of the truck. "Dick's been pacing back and forth and M'gann's waiting in the lobby with the dress. Luckily, the wind hasn't picked up. Thank Zeus for that."

"Thanks, Cassie," Artemis and I said in unison before taking off in search for M'gann. We called her name as we roamed the corridors of the sea-side hotel. The walls were an eggshell white and floors a beautiful pattern of green leaves and pink roses.

"In here," the martian exclaimed as she opened one of the doors that led to the hallway. "I have your dress, shoes, and makeup supplies, but that's about it," she told me. "And you might want to hurry, too. We only have forty minutes."

Forty minutes.

We all entered the room together, but went in separate directions. I sat in the chair in front of the vanity while M'gann unzipped the dress and Artemis grabbed the shoes. Somehow, M'gann had talked me into wearing heels. How she did it, the world may never know.
