Chapter 6: The Center of it all

A/N: Yo everyone! It feels nice to finally work on something on this new laptop which I absolutely love! Might take a while for each chapter since schoolwork is such a pain to do. Anyways, enjoy!

I hold onto Miwa-kun's hand. The main building of the school approaching close. We scan our student handbooks and walk into the building. Near the right, there is a gold plated sign near an elevator-like door. 

THE HISURI GAKUEN STUDENT CENTER

"We're here!"

"Yeah." I try to catch my breath. 

Miwa-kun presses a button next to the sign and the door slides open. 

"Come on, Aichi."

"Alright!"

As soon as we walk through, the door shuts behind us and a gust of wind blows Miwa-kun and I up the shoot. 

"Woah, this is crazy!"

I laugh. After a minute, we land on the desired floor. The door opens and we step out. Wow, the Center is amazing! There was light blue glass lining the outside walls, shops and restaurants everywhere. It was like an extravagant mall. Students walking around, chatting, ordering food, reading books.

"Ne, Aichi! Let's walk around!"

We stroll around, there were cafes, clothing shops, game stores, and more. There were signs placed so that students don't get lost. 

"All the food and drinks look so good! I'm feeling a hungry. Let's get something to eat!"

"Yeah, I'm feeling a bit peckish as well."

"Ooooh, let's go there. It looks nice!"

Cafe Nocturn

I follow Miwa-kun into a small but warm looking cafe. The simple decor light up the place. The fragrant smell of cinnamon and coffee mixed with the wooden walls is rather calming. We both stand in line, looking at the menu floating above the register. 

"Hmm...I want the crescent burger set but the Moon burger also looks good! Have you decided what to get yet Aichi?"

"I'm probably going to try the Barbeque Burger with a Vanilla Milkshake on the side."

Miwa-kun tells the guy at the register what we want to order. We take out our student handbooks and place it on the scanner. A small screen pops up and we both press confirm. We get our numbers and wait in a two seater table. The red leather seats and the aged wooden tables add the the homely feel of the place. 

"So, Aichi? I didn't ask this earlier. How did you get enrolled here? You're a noble aren't you?"

"Ah, yes. Well, my mother wanted me to learn how to defend myself since I will soon be the king."

"Couldn't you, I don't know, like, get private lessons instead of risking going here?"

"I could, however, mother wanted me to not only stay sheltered all the time. I guess she wanted me to learn how to protect myself independently."

"Order number 56683 and 56684 are ready!"

"Oh, our food is ready. I'll go get it."

Miwa-kun walks over to pick up the food on a tray and brings it back to the table.

"Here you go." He hands me my burger and shake.

"Anyways, back to the topic. Does your dad approve of this plan?"
